Hattori Hanzo Collection "Bill & Bride" Sword Set with Display Stand

I had no idea what to get my dad for Christmas. My brother collects swords, so I usually get him one from his favorite anime, but my dad loves Tarantino movies. And my dad's one who will not tell me what to get him for Christmas, so out of frustration and a split second decision, I threw these into my shopping cart. When they arrived, I was really pleased with them, they were beautiful! I love Kill Bill myself, so I knew what they were supposed to look like and I especially love that they came with the stand and they look nice displayed on them. But as Christmas came closer, I began to panic, thinking I'd gotten him something stupid and should have thought about it harder (which I should have : P). Luckily, on Christmas morning, he opened them up and loved them! He laughed for like five minutes straight, but he was so surprised, he thought it was funny and now they are displayed on our fireplace mantle. So overall, I'm very pleased with how it turned out and the swords were a great product!

As a HUGE fan of the Kill Bill movies I have been looking to get my hands on a Hanzo sword for years now. When I saw this product online I thought that it was too good to be true. I was ecstatic to open the box and find a solid and polished replica. The replicators didn't skimp on style. It is the same size and shape as on the movies and it has some good weight behind it to let you know that it's not a cheap knock-off that'll fall to pieces if you bump it too hard. It's not too sharp (as expected) and it looks great on its included display stand. Excellent conversation piece. Would definitely recommend to any true Kill Bill fan or sword collector.

I see there are mostly positive reviews for this item. My experience with this has not been great. I am an avid film sword replica collector and this set is by far the worst I have ever purchased. Huge waste of money. The craftsmanship is the most cheap work I have ever seen. On the Bride Sword, the blade itself has dings along the entire length. The scabbard has scuffs and dried glue markings on several spots. Bill's Sword is no different...but it is actually worst. The blade itself is off center making it extremely crooked when you hold it. The decorative markings on both the top and bottom of the scabbard are poorly glue and come apart easily. The top piece of the scabbard that holds the blade also pulls out with the blade every time I withdraw the sword from the scabbard. Now I know $50 isn't much to spend, but the quality of these items should at least seem like the manufacturer tried to make a quality product. These sword were definitely just thrown together without regard to quality. I would not recommend this set. It seems like a great deal, 2 replica swords for merely $50...but don't waste your money. These sword are poorly constructed, made of cheap material, and simply not worth even $10 for the set.

First let me say I like the swords. That being said you get what you pay for and for $30 a sword they are a good deal for any kill bill fan. They look good from afar and the cheapness of the quality isn't noticeable until you really get on top of them.

For $35 this is a fine display set of swords as shipped. The blades come dull as expected. They would only crush a cardboard box. I decided to try to sharpen the blades. I used a 5-inch orbital sander, starting with grit (120) then (240). I worked on each sword until I had roughly a 35-degree cutting edge then used my Accusharp knife sharpener on the blades and both blades pass the paper test easily. These blades bend easily so don't try to slice up hard objects. You could use these for personal defense after sharpening if the other person does not have a gun. I would then go for my 357 but it could cause collateral damage. The blades are .185 inches thick at the Habaki (blade collar). My (4) other Katana's are between .270 and .285 and they are carbon steel not stainless. Each sword weighs about 26 oz. For $35 this IMO is a great buy.

My boyfriend is a MAJOR kill bill fan. As well as swords and well any weapon like this. I was unsure about ordering them with out being able to look at them and hold them first. But I took a chance and i am so so glad that i did. They are truly beautiful swords. My boyfriend is 28 and he has been like a little boy over them. Not make sure you understand, These are not swords that you will be running in the back yard fighting with. They are for display (or running around posing silly with) (yeah my boyfriend did that :)) But for the display they are great. Of course if you go out and spend several hundred or thousand on a sword it will be much better quality. But if you are looking for a nice display or just a beautifully affordable sword you should 100% think about these

The swords are great. The detail on the brides demon at the bottom of the blade is fantastic. My 3 problems with these swords are that when they arrived, the blades were dirty. It looked like rain drops and they were crusty. But it was easily wiped away with a wet paper towel. though it was a little marked up probably from transit. My biggest 2 things wrong is that on Bill's sword the demon face isn't on the blade which kind of pissed me off. and on the brides sheath for the sword, the sweirly design isn't there. But thats a minor detail. You never really see it or the sheath in the movies. I don't even think the design exist. Someone might have just added it on a replica for decoration. Anyway, its a great buy and you'll be happy you got it. Its awesome for collectors and people who just love the films.

Beautiful swords. They are not very sharp but they make an excellent display. I bought these add a gift for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves them. Great deal for the price. Best part is they were here well before the anticipated arrival date

Only good for home decoration if that isn’t obvious. Blades sharpen nice with some patience and a quick coat of paint onto the cases was definitely needed. Still a pretty good bargain.
