Great Bundle - Saves on Batteries and No New Equipment Required
BOTTOM LINE: I recommend this bundle for ----- Anyone who plays or is married/dating someone who plays more than 4 hours a day;-- Anyone who wants to save HUNDREDS in replacement batteries;-- Those who want to avoid SPONTANEOUS FIRES or "overcharged" battery packs;-- Everyone who wants to use the headset they already have (instead of having to purchase a wireless adapter and wireless headset just because Microsoft and other companies want to be difficult by removing the headphone jack). It will save you enormous amounts of money on replacement batteries, will avoid the travesty and hazards of fire breaking out because of an "overcharged" battery, and lets you continue to use any equipment you still have such as headphones. My husband's favorite way to unwind is to play Halo, for hours upon hours, especially after a tough day, long day, kids are asleep, or any other reason that can be thought of (and I am certain I am not alone). However, his favorite past time was starting to cost us a small fortune considering that he was replacing batteries almost daily --- I tried the $1 store brand (which obviously lasted less than 10 hours as expected), Duracell, and Energizer, including the "Lithium", "Extra Special Lasting for-some-reason advertisement", etc. Nothing lasted longer than a playing period of 20 hours, give or take an hour. So, as I was well aware that my husband wouldn't cut down on his playing time, my only solution was to research battery packs, whether specially created by Microsoft, or other name brands that offered rechargeable batteries.I started my research and found that there are simply too many different brands and battery types to quickly find the right product for the right price not to mention the myriad of reviews that never seemed to quite align. My next step was to find a rechargeable battery pack specifically made for and marketed as XBox One Controller Battery Packs. I obviously was looking for a cost effective options so I started with the low to mid-range priced items; I found, however, that every single brand offering such a product that was not Microsoft itself had review after review of customers saying that the battery pack overheated due to overcharging and either sparked, started a fire, or simply burned the battery to the point of no return. I had 2 kids at home and a husband that is not too great at being on top of things like double checking to ensure that the second the battery pack has been charged fully, it is taken off the charger. Finally, I decided that I really had no option except to use a Microsoft Battery Pack. This actually worked out remarkably in my favor and here is why:- This bundle included a NEW XBox One Controller, Rechargeable Battery Pack, and Charging Cord.- The battery pack can be charged WHILE it is being used via the XBox One itself or can be charged via any USB port when the controller is not in use.- Unlike many bundle packs that I found online, this controller INCLUDED the 3mm Headphone Jack --- to my surprise, most of the bundles ONLY include a controller that requires additional equipment, i.e. an adapter for wireless headset and a wireless headset (both of which are exponentially more expensive than the standard headsets that simply plug in to the controller itself).

A Great Controller for Long Time Gamings
So far, the controller is definitely in good quality. It was packaged excellently and so far, I have no issues in the first few days of usage. Obviously, it is good to note that it is the first few days, and customary of game controllers is that it will start to lose function and get buggy due to wear and tear and constant use. However, the lifetime on this controller is to be expected to last more than a year, maybe two if taken well care of through constant use. The quality of this controller can definitely be extended if there is no constant use. It is definitely to my benefit to buy this new because of the quality and acknowledging how gaming wear and tear can limit the long time quality of the controller. I highly suggest getting this new. Usual Xbox One controllers cost around the same price of this product($59.99) without a rechargeable battery. I feel strongly that this price is justified because not only are you getting some new and in very good quality, you are also saving more money in the long run as you will not have to go and buy AA batteries, which are cheap, but will eventually accrue a decent chunk of your spending in the span of a few months (however, this may not be true for everyone; this statment applies primarily to serious and constant gamers, but this still applies to saving a little money over time instead of spending money every now and then for something you already paid for).Overall, amazing purchase with a lot of long term saving in mind and is worth buying new. If you cannot, used should be just as fine, just make sure that it is good quality for you. At the end of the day, it is up to you to find the best controller for your habits and needs. This is a very good start if you are just starting out and wanting to get into hardcore gaming.

I really love this Xbox One controller and now it is even ...
I really love this Xbox One controller and now it is even better. It works great on Windows 10 as long as you have Bluetooth. No need for a dongle now. This one is Bluetooth and has some texture on the bottom where you grip it. At first, I had reconnection issues and here is how to fix the problems. On Windows 10 go to the store and download the Xbox Accessories app. Plug in the controller with a cable and turn on the controller. Now open the app and do the update. Now it should re-connect after turning it off or rebooting the computer. If you had a connection prior, you will need to forget it and re-connect. I hope this has helped because I had to do a lot of research to find this solution. My reviews are my opinions of the product received and just my opinion. Everyone is different and could have a different opinion of a product. I do not receive any monetary payment for my reviews, and I always keep them honest. So no need to worry whether or not my review is genuine, because it is. Also if you found this review helpful marking it as so would be greatly appreciated thanks!

An improvement from the already-amazing 360 controller
The Xbox 360 controller is widely considered to be one of the best controllers ever made. I found the Xbox One controller to be an improvement upon an already amazing design. The controller fits well in the hand and every piece of it seems easily reachable. For 360 owners, you might know how the springs in the triggers can make a squeaking sound which also results in vibrations. These are both gone in the Xbox One controller and the triggers have also been widened and more contoured, yielding a more satisfying experience. The only knock against this controllers comes from the console itself. Controller and console bonded easily and reliably with the 360. However, do a bit of research and you will find many connectivity issues between the two for the Xbox One. I have this issue myself, but it is solved by using a USB cable to have a wired connection. I would much rather have a wireless setup, but it is something I have learned to mostly look over.EDIT: I managed to narrow down the problem to the wireless module in my console and got it repaired from Microsoft. Now I am able to use it wirelessly and it is a dream to play with!
