SmallRig Shotgun Microphone Holder (Cold Shoe), Built-in Soft Silicone, Bumps and Noises Absorption BSM2352

Like this a lot. It doesn't show but this is an actual shock mount with a rubber stage inbetween the mount and the camera cold shoe. So it's not a rigid mount that would transmit sound. It's actually a real shock mount that does jiggle but is sturdy enough to hold a decent sized mic. Works great on my custom rig. It is a little on the tall side so that would be my only ding.

This is absolutely and unequivocally the best shotgun mic mount you can buy.

I have been a big fan of Smallrig products, this mic holder did not disappoint, well made, held microphone nicely with a nice rubber lining. There is strength to hold the dead cat wind screen nicely. This product will also hold larger mics. Great product to add to my gadget box.

1. Avoid over-tightening or this will jam & it’s not easy to unstick w/an allen wrench. Fix: attach to a wireless mic spring-lock cold shoe adapter to avoid messing with it & elevate it from my cage. 2. Even when I balance it my comica vm40 droops forward re: the windshield. Fix: getting a hinge mount to tilt /compensate 3. No thread under the cold shoe, just a horrible bolt. Why, Smallrig? Why? Beyond that this thing is compact and buys real estate on my cage. This is not perfect but perfect mounts are massive & expensive. This is a compromise like everything else on the rig. 😀

Prior boom mic holder broke, so I bought this one as it was not plastic like my other. Works like a charm.

I use this camera for self-filming hunts and needed a better solution to mounting my shotgun mic. I was using a Rode SM3-R mounted to the hot shoe on my camera, but it never seemed to stay tight, and the shock mounts ended up breaking halfway through the season. I actually ended up removing the cold shoe adapter from the SmallRig mic holder, reused the mounting bar for the Rode SM3-R, and mounted the SmallRig mic holder straight to the SM3-R bar. It sits nice and tight to the camera, the SM3-R bar pulls the mic back about 4 inches out of the camera view, and it all fits really snug now. Definitely recommend this mic holder as well as SmallRig accessories (I also use their fluid head)

Same high build quality as everything else smallrig does, but it's heavy. So much so that when mounted sideways with a microphone, it bent a considerable amount. If mounting straight up, then it's not as bad, but I figured the point was to mount in different positions. It clamps the microphone well, and mine didn't move. The weight of a mic and the heavier metal build caused too much bending in the unit, and made it unusable for my application. It works well, but wasn't usable for my needs.

オーディオテクニカAT-875Rが値下がりしてたので購入し、組み合わせるショックマウントを探して、AIに訊いたらこれを勧めてきたので買ってみました。 以前から商品自体は知っていて、クランプ部分がラバーで振動を吸収するんだろうぐらいにしか考えていませんでしたが、実はクランプとベースの間に弾性素材が入っていてそこで免震する構造。 AT-875Rにはほぼぴったりといっていいんですが、XLRコネクタ＋ケーブルの重みのせいかふつうのイメージでセットアップすると後ろが下がってマイク先端がやや上向きになります。 私の機材だとAT-875R本体の後端寄りで挟むとだいたいバランスが取れます。 ケーブルがじかに生えているECM-XM1のようなマイクだとまたバランスが違ってくるでしょう。 ビデオカメラ（キヤノンXF400）付属のショックマウントに比べるとぐらぐら感があり、カメラを急に振るような使い方だと注意が必要かもしれません。たとえばマイク先端に触れるとびよよーんと大きく揺れが残り、ダンピングが効いてない感じ。ECM-XM1にXF400のショックマウントだと揺れはかすかに残る程度です（一発で収まるほどでもないですが）。 そんな感じなのでケーブルの取り回しにも注意が必要です。カメラのトップハンドルを握っていてケーブルが手に触れると、当然マイクが揺れます。ノイズが起きないか事前にチェックしてください。

I have a few shotgun mic’s and they all come with those red stands you see everywhere. They work, especially the new Helix style that Rode has implemented. But this SMALLRIG mic holder is both style and function. It’s a definite upgrade and hold all my different sized mic’s well, providing a good shock mount and much greater professional look when in use. Recommended.

レコーダーのシューマウント部にカーディオイドマイクを接続する目的で購入。 さすがにsmallrig製だけあって品質はそこそこ良く剛性についても良さげ。スプリングクランプ方式（万力）仕様かつショックマウントとなると選択肢は実質これ一択のため、品質がある程度担保されているのは高評価。 使用感についてはそこそこにショックマウントとして機能している感じ。RycoteやRodeなど各社のマウントとはサスペンションの仕組みが違うため比較できないが、シリコンラバーによる振動吸収としては小さい割に十分優秀。 一方で安定感については416あたりのショート、というかミドル？程度の流さが限界値。それ以上は固定自体は可能だが傾きが出るため落下やマウントへの負荷が気になるところ。 なお情報はないが、底部のシューについてはマウント部分までが一体成型（ネジ+プレート）で中央部分をねじ切って固定用のビスで底面から固定されています。 この固定用ビスを付属の六角でバラすことでシュー部分とマウント部分で分離できます。またこの固定用ビスは1/4ネジですので、マウント部分だけを直接雲台などに固定して使うことも可能です。 ただしこの固定用ビスはネジ穴と接着されており、簡単には取れなくなっています。なので外す場合は脱落の可能性が出てくるため自己責任になります。 個人的には用途幅が広がるのでむしろありがたいですね。 唯一の欠点としてあえて挙げるなら値段が高いこと。たしかに品質はすばらしいですが、もう少し安くならないものか。

ビデオカメラのマイクを取り付けたいため、マイクホルダーを探していました。取り付けにはとくに問題なく、金具部分をスライドさせ、締めて設置できました。商品自体は軽量です。
