I'd Like to Buy a Bowel, Please

Much joy and hope for living with ostomies for different reasons. Lifesaving procedures that need to become more accepted and talked about and appreciated. Lots of humorous and serious events.

There is thick black stuff on the cover that scrapes off, crease through whole book, dog ear on back cover. Black marks on all sides of white pages. Bought as a gift but not in gifting quality.

I bought this for my brother. But let me tell you. My sister and I were laying in my bed each with our laptops and a glass of wine trying to read every thing about this thing that just happened to our brother we could for our brother and we were in shock. ..., Anyway, I found this book and we had such a great laugh at just the title. I bought it that very second. But just laughing at the title and the excerpts ........ It really helped us at that moment.

This is a great read if you have or are in need of an ostomy. Humor goes a long way with a loving touch. This book will take you there. I am getting ready for my second Ileostomy, and permanent one due to Crohn's. So even though I know the ropes, it still gave me a lift. I recommend this book to family and caregivers too.

Absolutely loved this book. I was sad when I finished reading it. Might have to reread it. It can be a difficult and emotional subject as I know from personal experience, but this book filled with humor and inspiration reminds us not to take ourselves too seriously. I have recommended this book to my health care provider as a great resource for their patients.

A funny book about a topic most people would not find funny. For us "ostomates" it's good ready and puts a positive perspective on a rarely discussed life change,

anyone who can find humor in dealing w. a stoma needs to be congratulated. actually, we've been so busy muddling thru a few complications of the original surgery that this book has not been thoroughly enjoyed. hope to do so soon. (Signed: Partner to the Ostomate.)

I gave it, after reading it to our stoma nurse. She was laughing inthe office with the doctors…so I guess it is helpful for everyone.

Bought this for my husband who had very recently had a colostomy. It is a fun book.

it let me know there are others out there that have some of the same issues i do its not a easy topic to talk about and its nice to have a bit of humor with it.
