Tattoo Aftercare Lotion & Moisturizer, Balm, 3oz Tube (1-Pack)

I LOVE this product. It's not super thick like traditional tattoo healing ointments. It has a very faint smell that is very pleasant. It goes on very smooth, plus, it lasts for a long time. The tube itself is small but a little goes a long way with this product. It is well worth the money. I decided to try the suggestion of putting it in the fridge for freshness and the "cooling" sensation and WOW game changer! Its GREAT!! After rinsing it with the After Inked foaming cleanser and warm water then dabbing it dry with a towel, I put a little of this on it, and it leaves the tattoo moisturized and your skin so soft. I will never go back to the thick ointment I used in the past. This product doesn't clog your pores and isn't super sticky. It actually allows your skin to breathe and, in my opinion, has healed my tattoo faster. I'm planning on getting more tattoos soon so I will definitely be stocking up on this stuff.

My tattoo artist recommended After Inked for my aftercare regimen. I use the cleanser, blot it dry, allow a little more air drying, then pull it out of the fridge and apply a small amount. It’s kept the itching and flaking to a minimum as the piece heals up. I’m not sure if I’ll use this for daily maintenance and moisturizing (I’d like something with a little SPF b/c I’m in Florida), but I’ll keep the After Inked after care regimen for all of my new work during the after care process. It just works and seems to be accelerating the healing cycle! The product: Goes on smooth, water based, and spreads out easily. Can use relatively sparingly for proper coverage. It hydrates well and lasts a a few hours before reapplying (during healing process when it’s itchy and flaky). It is a bit pricey, but correct application will make it last. Since I plan to only use as an after care regimen after getting new work, this should last me for a more few pieces, so it’s actually a value. I recommend After Inked’s cleanser and lotion as an aftercare regimen for caring for new tattoos through the healing process. It’s perfect for addressing newly inked skin’s needs. As a long term hydration and tattoo care solution, I’d prefer something similar in feel, scent, application, etc., but with some SPF coverage. This lotion doesn’t seem to offer that.

My new favorite tattoo after care balm/lotion. So soothing, last hours after applying, slight natural fragrance from the extracts that’s calming even. The amount in the container will go a long way the thickness is perfect.

I recently had a birthday and decided to get 6 tattoos in 6 days. I have always used A&D. I decided to give After Inked a try. It's been a week since I got the first 1 and have been using it. Tattoo has healed nicely with very limited scabbing and kept the skin lubricated very well and last long after application. The Husky tattoo is of my dog and that's on day 4 with After Inked. Very easy to use and no scent to it.

Since I’m someone who has sensitive skin, I don’t normally use scented lotions. I recently bought this After Inked lotion to try since it had so many great reviews & it claimed to be Non-Irritant & Non-Allergenic. I do like the scent, I like how it doesn’t stick to your clothes, it drys fast, & leaves your skin feeling moisturized for a few hours. For me personally this lotion did a good job AFTER the tattoo already had a little over a week & a half to heal from when the tattoo was originally done. But I don’t recommend using it as the immediate aftercare product if you’re someone who has sensitive skin. Obviously everyone is different with how their skin will react, so if you’re curious about trying this product just be aware it’s possible that your skin may or may not react. If you’re adamant on using it & have sensitive skin, I recommend trying it on a small area of a fresh tattoo just to see before applying it on the entire tattoo. From my personal experience when I tried applying it to my new all around forearm tattoo, the entire tattooed area felt like it was burning & my entire forearm started turning red from the reaction. I ended up washing it off & just used Aquaphor. The downside to Aquaphor is that it has a thick consistency that sticks to clothing and can be annoying to remove when washing your hands, but it does a great job with tattoo aftercare. I did try using this After Inked product on my other new shoulder/upper bicep tattoo that already had a little over a week & a half of healing time done. My skin there didn’t have any negative reactions to the After Inked lotion & I didn’t experience any burning sensations.

I bought it on a whim because I needed something quick and this product offered next day delivery. This lotion soothed the raw skin that was my tattoo and kept it moisturized for most of the day without needing to reapply. When the cracking and scabbing began it kept the fresh tattoo from getting itchy as they always do. Its not a thick lotion which I like and doesnt have a fragrance which makes it perfect for aftercare. Despite it being a on the pricier side, I would buy it again!

I am relatively new to tattoos and until now have been pretty horrible about taking care of them. I used that dreadful greasy stuff on my first two tattoos and because it was so greasy and non absorbing it would get on everything and I found that even though it kept my tattoos nice and hydrated during the healing process, I was loathe to use it. No one told me about the itching stage of tattoos and oh my god did I go nuts with the itching. My first tattoo I wanted to rip my skin off. Between the itchiness and that greasy ointment I was ready to scream. How is it that so many people have tattoos and no one talks about the itching? My friends don't have tattoos and they all think I am nuts for getting them. Of course the question I get most often is "didn't it hurt?" NO, IT DIDN'T HURT! But I want to scream "but it itches like a mother________" That's the real problem. After my fourth tattoo session (I'm just building on the original tattoo) someone recommended this after inked product so I gave it a try. Oh My God, what a difference.... It is not at all greasy, absorbs into the skin and leaves the tattoo hydrated for hours. HOURS! My tattoos look richer and brighter than ever, and my new tattoo healed with hardly an itch and it was the largest tattoo section of all of them. Unbelievable. Truly unbelievable. I never would have imagined the side benefit of limiting the itchy phase to practically non existant. BOTTOM LINE: Maybe it seems a little bit pricey for what you are getting but believe me it is absolutely worth it. Non greasy, a little bit goes a long way, absorbs into the tattoo and keeps it moist, can be used immediately after tattooing and during all phases of the healing process, AND KEEPS THE ITCHY PHASE TO A MINIMUM. I can't say enough good things about it.

Helped heal and nourish the skin after being inked. Would 100% recommend and have done. Moisturises beautifully without leaving any residue or stickiness. Good value for money. Perfect consistency, not too thick and absorbs quickly into the skin. Was very nervous to try as I'm allergic to both Palmers and Bepanthen, both of which were recommended to me by tattoo artists. Was such a relief to find something that works well and doesn't bring me out in hives.

Had my lips tinted (lip blush/tint), essentially tattooed with colour and I've used this product almost every single day (sometimes more than once a day) to combat against dryness and to hopefully preserve the lip colour as long as possible (lips peel and the colour fades over time). It really feels as though the reason my colour has stayed sharp for so long is due to this product. I appreciate the non-greasy formula and I like the faint smell too.

Davvero un'ottima crema, dalla texture morbida ma non unta e dalla profumazione leggerissima. In 10 giorni il mio nuovo tattoo era guarito benissimo e i colori sono rimasti stupendi. Posso assolutamente dire "mai più senza" visto che la ritengo ottima anche per la "manutenzione" di quelli vecchi. :)
