Collar, 4" W x 18" L

This collar is great. It works just as it should. It fits snugly around the neck, so my dog was able to go out the doggie door, eat and drink without any trouble, and see all around her. Most importantly, the collar kept her neck straight so she could not turn her head enough to bother the stitches on her leg.

This product is a torture device. May be suitable for larger dogs with longer necks. My Cavachon (which has a neck similar to a shitzu was unable to wear it comfortably. Switched back to the cone from the vet’s office within 20 minutes.

My dog had surgery near her tail and this was so much better than the cone the vet sold us. Our dog had looked so depressed with the cone and was restricted from using the doggie door, going up stairs, etc. The BiteNot Collar made it much less restricting for her--she could eat, play, go up the stairs, jump on the bed, and go through the doggie door.. I am giving it only four stars, however, because, I think one design flaw is with the strap: it should be more flexible at the base so as not to rub the dog as much. Also, I had to cut down the strap out of fear that the dog could get hung up on something with it hanging down on the floor. Additionally, I had to rethread the strap so that it was not rubbing at the connection due to being twisted. But, overall, I would recommend this if you hate seeing your dog depressed by a cone and the injury is not one on its face (as the dog will potentially be able to reach its face with a paw).

Bought this for our silky poo because he was biting his back leg after an injury. We measured him according to the manufacturers instructions. Our dog was still able to reach his cut so it wasn't effective at all for him.

This is certainly too good to keep secret!My pup was 23 lbs when she was spayed (shepherd mix breed). I bought the medium and it fit her well. She could manuever, sleep and even eat/drink if the dish is at the correct height and position. She has a long muzzle so she could reach all her paws still, but not her belly. She slept best if her head was elevated on a bolster or pillow since her neck wouldnt bend. SHe seemd only slightly unhappy with it compared to my male pup when he was neutered.When my male pup was neutered, all I had was the cone of shame and we were both miserable. He was at a size that was a little too large for a medium collar so he wore a large and it was so wide he couldnt get in to his crate or get around anywhere without constantly bumping in to things.I was worried it would be too big for such a small girl, but it was perfect. The key is the length from the back of the ears to the shoulders for sizing. Her neck was 13" and it could also fit dogs with larger neck sizes, maybe up to 17 or 18", as well as smaller. It comes with a securing strap which goes behind the forelegs (just as in the picture). The item is easy to put on and take off and adjust to a particular size pet.If I get around to downloading some photos, I will.

Does what it's meant to do. However, due to moisture it traps, my dog developed a large hotspot on his neck. I was fortunate that I removed it to brush him out, or I wouldn't have reslized. So, he only wore it for 3 days before I threw it out. Now, he's wearing a rolled towel, because I csn't put a collar on him.

the measurements that they give are wrong. I measured the dogs neck like they said but it was still to small. wasted money

Better alternative than the lamp shade. Great for dogs that need protection from licking mid section, or back. Probably not as good if a foot problem. Have always used with a neuter/spay.
