Nectar Instead We bought our Tempur‑Pedic mattress eight years ago for $2,770, plus another $1,600 for the matching frame because we were told it was required to keep the warranty valid. That’s $4,370 invested based on their promise of a 10‑year warranty. When we finally needed the warranty, Tempur‑Pedic treated us exactly like an insurance company — deny, deny, deny. Their representative claimed the cover was “worn from liquid,” which is ridiculous and completely untrue. That one excuse was enough for them to walk away from their own warranty. After this experience, I can confidently say: do not spend this kind of money on a Tempur‑Pedic. The product is expensive, the warranty is unreliable, and the customer service is dismissive. If you want a mattress that actually stands behind its warranty, Nectar offers a 365‑day trial and a 10‑year warranty for about one‑third the price. After dealing with Tempur‑Pedic’s excuses, switching to Nectar is an easy decision. Save your money. Skip Tempur‑Pedic.
