Shows pet urine.
We purchased to illuminate areas where our pets might have had an accident. This is an inexpensive and foolproof method.

Finds the pee!
Very powerful! I have a little black light already but it wasn’t working so I ordered this one. I have since fixed the broken one and comparing them side by side this product is really stellar and shows everything including saliva.

Detects pet urine clearly but a bit heavy and can slip from hand
I bought this flashlight to detect pet urine in a new house I moved into. It works very well — it clearly shows stains on the carpet and even on the walls. I used it in the dark, and it helped me find hidden spots easily. However, there are a few things to note: the flashlight is a bit heavy, it requires three AA batteries, and it can slip from the hand if you don’t use the wrist strap. It can also be very useful for checking hotel rooms, such as beds, walls, or bathrooms, to make sure the place is clean and free of hidden stains. Overall, it’s a very useful product for anyone who wants to make sure their home (or hotel room) is clean from pet urine or other hidden stains. I will attach some photos to show how it worked for me.

Worked perfectly to find cat pee spots
Used for located where a cat that temporarily was staying with me peed. Coupled with Nature's Miracle I found and treated all spots. This flashlight works very well, feels solidly made, and I'm glad it runs on AA batteries instead of C batteries as I have AA rechargeables.

The 51 LED UV lights seem to be the "sweet spot" for price, quality, durability - better than the 100 LED models.
I live in Arizona, and we have scorpions in our backyards - sometimes LOTS of them if you don't do something to keep them in check. Periodic broadcast-type bug spraying (like the kind from exterminators) is minimally effective at keeping scorpion populations down once they hit critical mass --- the best method to put a dent in their population is to hunt them at night when they are out and to spray them directly with a strong solution to eradicate them. Enter these UV flashlights - they are a staple for anyone living in Arizona who is serious about battling scorpions. I started using these a few years back when I noticed my yard was being overrun. I live in the inner city, and for the first 10-15 years I lived here they were not a problem. But things changed a few years back and now I have to battle them routinely and have finally got ahead of the curve in eliminating them. For two seasons, I tried the 100 LED flashlights on the market thinking that more power was better. Well, they did OK, but with the 3 100 LED flashlights I bought I experienced the same issues. First, they run hot.... REAL hot. Then, they need six AA batteries to run, which is a substantial number (and why they run hot). I use rechargeable Eneloops, I would not even consider Alkaline battery in these 100 LED lights - they burn them up so quickly you would spend a FORTUNE on batteries if you had to use Alkaline. Which leads to the biggest problem with the 100 LED lights - they burn up battery life quickly, and real only stay at their brightest for 15-20 min before becoming noticeably dimmer. I experienced this on three different brands of 100 LED lights - note however all three lights looked the same and probably made in the same Chinese factory! (also DON'T overspend on the UV Beast model - it is exactly the same light as the others at half the price, don't believe the marketing hype the seller claims). The biggest issue with the 100LED light models - they were ruining my Eneloop batteries. It must be because they run so hot, or maybe they are working too hard and the design of six batteries and 100 LEDs needs better engineering. One final point about the 100 LED models - they are HEAVY! Next, I bought this 51 LED model. First off, it only takes 3 AA batteries to work - HALF of what the 100 LED models need. Then, it runs cooler. MUCH cooler. Finally, it stays consistently bright for much longer - sure it is not as bright as the 100LED model on fresh batteries - but after 30 min the 51 LED is still going strong where the 100 LED is hot and has dimmed considerably. Using only three batteries vs six batteries for 100 LED models seems to be the sweet spot for keeping the light cool - and NO MORE ruining my Eneloops. Plus, the 51 LED model is SO much lighter and easier to carry for extended scorpion hunting sessions. ( I have a large yard, and I extend the search to the alley and other breeding spots). For those in the market for an LED light that has a little "oomph", and if you are looking at the 100 LED and 51 LED models and wondering what to get and how much you really need, then I hope my experience helps you. Sometimes less is more, and bigger is not always better and from my experience with UV flashlights this became glaringly true!! Try the both for yourself and see what you think. Thanks for reading.

Weak Output Skip the 51-LED Model, Go for 100+ LEDs Instead
I picked up this ESCO LITE Escolite UV flashlight (51 LED, 395 nM) hoping it would help spot dog urine and pet stains around the house, but it was a major letdown. It technically works, but the output is really weak—even on full power with fresh batteries. It barely illuminates stains in low light, and you'd have to get it super close to detect anything useful, which defeats the purpose for quick scans. Don't bother with the 51-LED version; opt for at least a 100-LED model if you're in the market for a reliable blacklight detector. I ended up returning it because it was just too weak to justify keeping. Save your money and frustration!

ESCO LITE Escolite UV Flashlight Black Light, 51 LED 395 nM Ultraviolet Blacklight Detector
I recently purchased the ESCO LITE Escolite UV Flashlight, and it has quickly become an indispensable tool around my home. This 51 LED 395 nm ultraviolet blacklight is incredibly powerful and effective for detecting things that are invisible to the naked eye. One of the standout features is its brightness and coverage. The 51 LEDs provide a wide, consistent UV light that makes spotting dog urine stains, pet accidents, and even bed bugs much easier than I expected. It helps me keep my home cleaner and hygienic by allowing me to identify and clean up stains that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. The build quality feels solid and durable, with a sleek black finish that’s comfortable to hold. It's lightweight enough to carry around easily, yet sturdy enough to withstand regular use. Battery life is decent; I’ve used it for several sessions without recharging or replacing batteries frequently. Overall, the ESCO LITE Escolite UV Flashlight is a fantastic purchase for pet owners, parents, or anyone who wants a reliable way to detect stains and pests. It works exactly as advertised, providing clear results and making household maintenance much simpler. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of an affordable, high-quality UV flashlight.

This DOES work. It is definitely a real UV light. I bought it to look for old cat pee spots. It works. Use it at night. Some pee spots may need you to get closer with the light. Because of urine content. But I've tested it. It works. For being a "fun" black light. It's pretty strong. Don't look at it. I recommend this. It works.
