Nib Is great .. smooth .. not flexible..calligraphy folks note of caution for ya... writes well .. proble is . Cartridges won't fit and u will have to use ink ..

I bought this pen for its Lamy-like looks. It certainly scores very high in looks. However it didn't write well out of the box. I tried washing it out and most of the tricks one tries with a new fountain pain, but to no avail. Return was not possible.As a last resort, I ran a fine blade through the slit in the front aspect of the nib. Had to do this a few times, smoothen out the tip on glass etc. Finally, after much ado, it writes like a dream !!!!!The ink level is not visible in the indicator, maybe an orientation issue.2 stars off for the hard work I had to do to get the pen working after paying 300 bucks for it.

Good nib, but ink leaks

perfectly medium nib and very very smooth. also the ergonomic design makes it really comfortable to hold. loving the pen.

I have used german version of the pen so purchased this one. But it doesnot write well either english or devnagari . Pen ceases to flow ink in aome of the arches.such quality issues needs to be taken care of. Expensive for no use as it doesnot write well.

It definately looks good, but the cartridge quality is very flimsy, and the mechanism for refill is not smooth.The writing quality is OK.It is definately not worth the money spent.

The pen is solid! And a close copy of the original lamy. This is also just a sticker job for Oculus. The pen is actually from Jinhao and they are selling the same as well. That said, everything works well and I am satisfied with my purchase. Would have loved a finer nib, but lamys generally tend on the broader side for their Nib sizes so this feels more like a medium nib. This should be your second pen, after camlin elegante. Not from a collection standpoint, but for true beginners getting a sense of how these pens can write and feel different. The camlin is a perfect starter for the indian student.
