Works as Advertised
Amazing! Absolutely did what the product says, my items look brighter (clean) and are completely waterproofed! Definitely tumble dry the items, my rain jacket was soaked through before I tumble dried to activate. I was worried about putting some items in because they have cloth linings but the lining is totally fine and not coated with a weird texture or anything, the lining is now waterproofed though! One bottle was able to re-waterproof 6 items (a couple wind breakers, rain jackets, and some ski pants). Works perfectly, will purchase again whenever my jacket needs a new treatment (have had it for 4 years with pretty consistent use)

Works like a charm, remember to thoroughly tumble dry!
I stumbled upon this product at the recommendation of westcomb, a premium outdoor brand, and it's awesome. There are plenty of videos on the web for how to use it. I closed up all the zippers and put mine into a small Bosch front loading washer on cold with two caps for my shell and one extra for my liner. The key is you have to make sure that you have to tumble dry to activate the water repellency. The company's faq actually says don't use this particular product if you can't tumble dry it. I put mine in the Bosch dryer (which is slower than regular vented dryers) on permanent press for 50 minutes, for good measure. Watching the water bead off the surface is amazing. I've used the gear aid spray (sent by north face warranty dept) in the past but I find the wash in to work better.

Easy to Use, Great for Synthetics, Not Recommended for Cotton
The 10 oz container is good for three jackets. For my synthetic material jackets, I have found that repel/clean works really well and improves water resistance. For my cotton hoodie, there was some very minor improvement, but I have to say that it is almost negligible. As the whole bottle was required for three jackets, I found that the price compared to the benefit is not great. It's really easy to use, however, just pour into the washing machine and wash.

Does exactly what they said it would do.
My Down jacket is over forty years old and was way past due to be cleaned. I've always heard that you shouldn't or can't wash a down product. This product "Granger Clothing Wash" is what everyone should try to clean your Down jacket or other Down products. Wash on delicate and warm or cool water and when you put in the dryer be sure to use at least six tennis balls or wool balls. The directions said to use a front door washer, but I used my wife's top load and utilized the New Zealand pure Wool balls. The wool balls gently fluff up the feathers without damaging them. My forty year old Down jacket was matted and was no longer warm in cold weather so, I wrote the maker and asked how to clean the jacket, but they didn't feel a need to reply, I guess they felt that someone wearing one of their jackets for forty years wasn't loyal enough to warrant a reply. The jacket is as good as new and the feathers are fully fluffy again. Granger did exactly what they indicated it would do, I'm 99.99999% satisfied with the product.

a hit and a miss
Used it per directions on bottle on two Patagonia jackets (one load, two jackets). Finally had some rain to see how it worked on my Torrentshell, and it is really nice to see water bead up on it again and actually leave a puddle on my floor! That being said, it really took its toll on the other jacket, a 17-yr old Triolet jacket. It completely disintegrated the lining of the jacket, which isn't really a lining in my opinion, but nonetheless, is a different material than the outside of the jacket. It actually made it threadbare in places. The jacket is old, I know, but I loved it - one of those Patagonia pieces I saw myself wearing intermittently for a long time, even passing it down to a kid one day as a vintage piece! For comparison's sake, the Torrentshell, is probably 6-8 yrs old. Going forward, I think I'll just invest in a new rain jacket rather than risk anything else and use the less waterproof ones as just that- not perfect rain slickers.

Rejuvenated old down coat
Needed to wash my old (30 yrs) down coat. Found Grangers (made in England) and my coat came out looking great and it renewed the waterproofing. It’s suitable for Gor-Tex clothing. Would recommend it if your waterproof clothing needs cleaning.

Great weather proofing for down coat
I purchased this for the first time in 2019 to reprotect my down puffer jacket (and other water resistant jackets) and it's great. I recently ran out (and repurchased) so this bottle lasts a few years if you wash your jacket every year or so. I tend to do it every other year, unless the jacket is extremely filthy. The rain etc just drips off my jacket. It really does help to add water protection to a jacket that may have lost some of its water protection. It doesn't resist downpours completely but it does allow some protection, just after awhile you will notice the drops soaking through if its heavy "freezing rain". Still great as the down is also water resistant so it withstands downpours a bit better than without. A must have for a winter lover!
