I have been using this product for many years now. I had been looking at and trying different brain formulas when a Sprouts employee told me this was the best thing to take. He was right. This is the only thing that makes a noticeable difference in memory and recall for me. If I skip a few days the difference is measurable. I prefer the liquid because it’s fast acting and I take other supplements and vitamins. I have experienced zero side effects and I continue to buy it because I’ve never built a tolerance to it and it continues to be effective after years of use.

First, everyone says this tastes terrible. It tastes like mushrooms mixed with vodka. Which is pretty much what it is, so not sure what people were expecting. This does not taste like Jennifer Aniston right out of the shower. Second, it does what it says it does, it gives your brain a bit of a lite lift. If you put the dropper in your mouth and let it sit under your tongue it will burn a bit (I mean its mushroom vodka), but it will get into your system quicker. You will feel a 5% increase in your brain clarity within the 15 minutes and will keep you perked up. Not sure how long it lasts, but it will wear off. I take mine without food: 1st thing in the AM and at noon. Sometimes before bed to help me sleep (thanks mushroom vodka!). Got this to give me a bit of a boost on days when I need it. And so far so good. A 5% increase in my overall well being is well worth the price.

Update 11/10/2020: I have been taking this for the past year, with the exception of a few months when it wasn't available due to mushroom shortage or something. I still really like it. I don't take it every day, but I do take it most days. I love that it is a tincture because it goes to work almost instantly. My head clears up every-so-slightly and I am more productive. I have had people say that it is a placebo effect, but I have taken so many supplements over the years that I am pretty good at figuring out which ones work and which ones don't, because if a given supplement doesn't work, I'd rather stop taking it and use the money to try something different. This is not the placebo effect: this one actually works. The taste is something you get used to, in fact, I kind of missed it during the months when it wasn't available to buy. It all goes to show that taste is really just familiarity (with the exception of genetic tasting abilities, like how some people taste soap when they eat cilantro...but I digress). I also don't take it like a shot anymore, I just hold the dropper over my mouth and drop it right in. Two droppers-full gives the recommended dose. 11/25/2019: First, I have to say that this stuff really does work. I drop it into a children's medicine thingie (the one that looks like a graduated cylinder with a spoon-thing on the top) and take it like a shot. Within 30 minutes I can tell that my brain is working better (I have ADHD and other issues that give me brain fog). Having said that, this stuff tastes HORRIBLE!! According to the label, it is 30-40% alcohol, and I can attest that it is worse than any tequila shot I've ever done. Burns all the way down and has the worst taste. I think I am going to try the capsules after this tincture is gone to see if they work as well but it is nice to have fewer pills to take....

The flavor is shit but you don't buy these types of products for it's flavor. It's got a lot of alcohol in it and an aftertaste of whatever lions mane must taste like. This shouldn't matter to you, it's effects should I've used a lot of nootropics before and I used to be on ADD meds (they have too many downsides imo), so I'm very in tune with my brains health and how well its doing. There were reviews that said they didn't notice anything, however for me the first day I took it I felt something was happening. It wasn't good or bad, there was simply a very noticeable effect that was going on. That lasted about 2 days for me and afterwards it's been all uphill. Less brain fog, more ability to control my thoughts, just a better firing brain. I'd recommend this product only if you're not expecting a miracle drug that'll fix all your problems right away. I believe it does do miracles based on me and research I've done, but it won't happen overnight. I've previously been exposed to raw gas fumes for an extended period of time in a truck I got rid of that had some leaks, and since then I've had worsened memory and focus issues. I've already seen improvements from that so I plan on continuing this product

Update. I've tried several different companies product over some time since this review. A few were very good. Almost all had some effects, surprisingly. Originally I started this with... "Probably”. Now I must say "Definitely" the best Lions Mane product around! While capsules are almost all mycelium(!), this is an extracted mycelium w/fruiting bodies as well. I put in morning coffee, slight alcohol taste, but didn't effect me(I'm struggling with Chronic Lyme disease, and alcohol doesn't work anymore, just makes me sick, almost allergic? No signs of that. Just the taste a bit. Works excellent! I think I'll go back to their capsules again, see if any difference felt. One of the greatest products made, and natural! May reverse Alzheimer's, probably prevent it! I took at first, for nerve support for my Belle's Palsey. Mental clarity was immediate! Like airing out a smoke filled kitchen. Has helped with anxiety, confusion, depression, immensely! Thank God for Lions Mane! And those who proudly produce/include all the important compounds, some not found/not soluble in the raw mushroom. The Real magic is in the mycelium. Great when mixed some fruiting bodies of this high quality! Best Lions Mane with the most beneficial compounds available! If you're 50 or over, a must have! Really amazing species . Research! Read reviews! Incredible supplement. Don't wait, save your memories, avoid dementia! Amazing stuff!!!

Terrible burns!!!!

This product does absolutely NOTHING! You take it and it does NOTHING at all! Please save your money from this expensive bottle of 30 ml water. (water at least quenches the thirst, this does not even do that.)
