The Expand-It Messenger does exactly what it sounds like, it expands from a slim 3" depth to a full 7" depth. The design is minimalist yet fully functional. We include a well padded laptop sleeve that is removable for those times you don't need to lug around your laptop. This bag is so versatile you will use it all the time for work or play. The minimalist design is paired with custom patterns of red plaid or black pinstripe. Laptop capacity is up to 13"W x 9.5"H x 1.5"D (Up to 13" Mac's and 13.3" PC's).

Great function, lazy design
There are a few reasons I'm giving this bag three stars. First, the vertical zipper pockets don't really serve a function. All I can fit in them is a stick of chapstick in one and a pack of gum in the other. Second, I wish the computer sleeve slid in and out easier- I realize that the function of the velcro strips is to keep it from sliding around, but I'd rather be able to remove it easily, as the fit is already pretty snug. Lastly, the strap is a great length, but the shoulder pad material (nylon?) isn't very grippy, so unless the strap is on my bare skin, I am constantly adjusting it to it doesn't slide off my shoulder. If they redesign in the future, they should make the bottom of the strap a little more grippy. I use the bag everyday, and I love the material/pattern. These issues are just slight annoyances.

GREAT!!!
This bag is wonderful. I use it for college and it holds all of my stuff. I haven't used the sleeve yet. I think that a net book or laptop might be a bit much if you have several books also, otherwise it works well and is a great color and fabric.I've been using this bag for about six months now and it still looks new. Sometimes I use it expanded, but mostly not. Very pleased with the purchase.
