Glad I took the plunge
This was one of those purchases that are so inexpensive you wonder what’s the catch. I thought I’d jump in and try it out because we all like a bargain and I have to admit I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. It arrived modestly wrapped in bubble wrap with a label saying made in Indonesia. Taking them out I was surprised at the quality and size. Lifting them up by the hook I noticed that they were off Center balance and leaned to one side. It’s an easy fix by undoing the knot and rebalancing them to the Center. Hanging them up I felt the sail which is the part that catches the wind was a little too long. What a lot of people don’t realise is the sail is on a sliding knot so you can adjust it’s length. I adjusted it quite a bit higher but may adjust again after it’s had a chance to do it’s thing. Personally I think they’re fantastic, they really are equal quality to any of the $20+ wood chimes, and if it means I just have to adjust the balance to save $15 then I’m down. Hope this helps anyone wary of buying.

calming chime
Love the look and the sound, reminds me of my time in the tropics, Pacific but it take a decent size wind to get the sound that I'm looking for as well as they really need to be located just right but I still love them.

Bamboo chimes
Don’t make lot of noise. Not very musical. Wouldn’t recommend

Smaller than expected.
It was very small and the diameter of the bamboo is also small. Was expecting larger and deeper sounds. The string also was not tied evenly and hung cock-eyed.

Disappointed
First real wind the string broke.After 1 summer the varnish in some areas disappeared. Very disappointed.
