I have a few other books that I have purchased to help me learn to play the piano, this book surpasses them by far. I decided to purchase this book for vareity and I am sure glad I did. It is well written and easy to follow. I also purchased the theory book which I enjoy working in. I would highly receommend this book for an older beginner (63 years old). I am anxious to purchase book two.

Just perfect! My student learned to sight read over the summer. Granted she was from a musical family. However, her father (though a composer ) couldn't read music either. So she had some experience with the piano (playing by ear). But with only about ten lessons she was reading easy Piano music from several online sites.

The Faber series is very thorough with necessary repetition in a creative manner. The materials offer a method that allows adaptation and expansion for individual learning needs. Highly recommend!

A good book if you need practice with note names and recognizing note placements. Many musical favorites such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, and Over the Rainbow. Good motivation if you want to play something fun! The pieces are straightforward, and use mostly treble clef with some upper base clef (often not lower than an F).

I purchased the series of Accelerated Piano Adventures for the Older Beginner. Just what I was looking for to help me learn to play the piano.

I have several adult piano students who have played an instrument in their childhood. They now want to learn piano and this series gives them a 'grown up' feel to the music. Much better than trying to teach an adult from a beginner children's series.

I bought this for my 12 year old son who wants me to teach him to play. I am really pleased with it. It gives him some very simple versions of music that he recognises, like the Star Wars theme and Harry Potter. After one session with the book he can play two pieces and he has never had a lesson. These pieces are just right for beginners and gives them the opportunity to produce music quickly, which is usually what a beginner wants! Very pleased overall.

A very good book for the adult beginner, has up to date music and is enjoyable to play and hear without being too difficult,
