Perfect card reader of serious amateur D-SLR users
With so many memory-card readers on the market, a long and arduous search is needed to find one that fits one's needs at a fair price and a reputation for quality. It's sturdy, well-made, and works without a hitch (or added software). I did the work for you: If you are a serious amateur with a good D-SLR using some form of SD card (but you are NOT a super-serious amateur with a wide array of cameras or an aspiring professional!), this is the one high-quality, fairly priced item for you to buy. It handles only SD and micro SD cards, BUT importantly goes all the way to SHXC and ultra-high performance versions while also having a 3.0 USB plug. Therefore, it will be suitable for use for a long time and is still backward compatible for those using older plain SD cards or 2.0 USB computers. Buy it!

Best card reader I've ever owned.
So I've probably gone through at least 6 different card readers in the last 5 years. This one works best, by far. It doesn't freeze and it is very fast.

Works as advertised
Original unit came nonfunctional. Contacted seller and they sent a replacement that worked just fine. I recommend the seller as a seller that stands up to their products.

SD Card securely "clicks" in
Excellent. Using it for my new laptop that has no SD card slot. I keep all of my office files on an SD card (encrypted with BitLocker) so I can switch between computers quickly. My newest fancy thin portable laptop did not have an SD card slot and that presented a huge problem for me. This adapter was the best of the bunch that I ordered. The flexible cable prevents the adapter from snagging and damaging the USB connection, and the SD card securely clicks in to the adapter with a spring-loaded mechanism (unlike all the others I tried). Also, there is a blue LED activity light that is a bonus.

FAST!
I've had several videos on SD and micro SD cards of my children over the years and gave up transferring them to the PC of the length of time it took to transfer them.This 3.0 capability is exactly what we needed to make this transfer possible.Thank you.

very fast with UHS-ll cards don't know how good it i with other SD cards
