Ive been working low voltage gigs the past several years and never needed a buttsett for a POTS system because of VOIP but this thing came in handy. I used it to fix an issue at a dental clinic. Easily identified the phones lines to help in resolving their phone issues. They are affordable so I would buy an extra one to put in my other bag just in case something happens to this one. Not sure about durability but I would be scared to drop it from a height or step on it.

This is a good little set. It helped me solve some of the weird wiring in my home, and next I plan to address issues at my mother-in-law’s house. It works fine but it doesn’t have all the features or strength of a $200 set.It did not include any usable instructions, so I found some on the web for a near-identical product, the MilnakSkits S9 . Problem solved.

Can’t hang up the phone, the reset doesn’t work well.

I've used it a few times to debug damaged phone lines. It works fine. I will say it's cheap, but unless you use it every week who cares? If you are going to use something like this a lot - invest in a real one for another $100. For me this thing is fine - I hope (...this thing doesn't turn into a second career).

It's really all you need to test POTS lines. Just fair warning tho. If you have big hands you're going to need a pen or something to dial with. It's small.

You may only use it once or twice in a lifetime should you ever lose your telephone service and have to go out to your telephone service box where the line comes into the house to determine quickly if the disconnect is your problem or the phone company's. Nevertheless, it's well worth the investment when compared to the cost of an unnecessary service call.

This product literally broke before I had a chance to use it the first time. Do not bother... it is incredibly low quality and that makes it useless. Invest in a real butt set instead.

Great quality. Very useful. I like it and five stars. Pretty small like old fashion cell phones from 200x. Handy and does not require any manual to understand how this device works. If you ever used an analog phone you will quickly understand how to use this one.
