Qzbhct Pre Filter Sponge Foam Roll Accessories for Fluval Edge Aquarium Fish Tank (12 Pack)

I seen other people talk about using this with the aquaclear 110 so I didn’t think much of it and just ordered it. I have many projects to use foam pre filters for so I figured even if it didn’t work for the 110 I could surely use it on another filter. These are extremely small I’m not sure how I missed it. It says in the description anything larger than 1/2” inside diameter is a no go so I figured my 3/4” flared intake tube would be good maybe a zip tie to be sure. I was way off these are so small I cannot fit my pinky finger in the hole. The entire product is 1.5”W x 2.5”H. I’m sure I’ll find something to use it for but it’s not at all what I was expecting kind of disappointed because it wasn’t clearly labeled but I should’ve looked into it more so I can’t blame the seller too much.

This prefilter sponge is nice. Inexpensive compared to the local pet shop, which often has empty shelves, anyways. Easy to clean and re-use. These have saved the live of literally hundreds of fry. (Some untold number were saved, only to be eaten by an adult guppy or a Betta.) I have given hundreds of guppies away, but without these prefilters, NONE would survive the Dreaded Filter of DOOM!

Cheep imitation. The original product has a much tighter meshing allowing only the tiniest of particles through. These allow much larger particulets through. While it is a decent pre-filter I was looking for one to also collect algae to help like the original sponge does.

EXACTLY what i was looking for. These arent as tightly knit as the ones by Fluval that catches tiny particles which is exactly what i wanted. These keep my fish/shrimp from getting hurt/sucked in and dont clog my filter after a few days cause they need to be rinsed out. 100% worth it!

Only use this on a hang on back filter nothing else. Its like 2-3in in length. TINY. And very fine sponge.

I bought these because I was afraid my shrimp were getting sucked up in the filter. I tried using other ones and they were too big and were also white and looked bad in the tank. These seem to be doing a good job. Tank is clean and all my new shrimp are still alive! And they are nice and compact.

These work great as pre filter sponge on my quiet flow 10.it adds surface area for good bacteria to grow and my cherry shrimps can feed on it without getting sucked into my main filter

The hole was too small and it wasn't the most useful. Not very practical for filter cover
