Works really well. It is a little awkward in getting the correct angle to put in your ear, but it works super well. The readings are instant. I like that it has distinctive beeps for if you are in normal range or have a fever. The display is easy to read. I’m not a fan of the need to have the ear covers on. I find that’s a waste of plastic for the average home use. And you have to have the plastic disposable cover on, otherwise it will not work. I can understand in a clinical setting, but for home use having it be able to be wiped off and used as is, would be more than enough.

This replaced a near 12 year old ear thermometer. Our pediatrician office uses this brand and style. Easy to take my own temp and that of my family members. The extra beeps to indicate fever also help.

It gets the job done/you get what you paid for. I’ve had the more expensive model in that past that I would prefer to have again but this price point was what I could get at the time. Could be better with accuracy but it gives a general idea of what the fever is. It’s a one button thermometer but make sure you wait for the “beeps” or you’ll get an error message. All in all it’s worth the price.

Just what I was looking for.

I can live with the German-language packaging. I figured I could simply change it to Celsius. Wrong. Tried the instructions and each and every time the "Select" option flashed past and I was brought back to the main screen. I did conversions of the Celsius readings and they were way off and not even consistent with themselves. I have better things to do than do battle with this junk. It can't go back so it will be filed.

Aus der Not heraus mussten wir ein neuen Ohrthermometer kaufen, da unser altes (über zehn Jahre alt) Ohrthermometer von Braun den Geist aufgegeben hat. Kurz gesagt, das Thermometer misst zuverlässig und schnell die Temperatur. Der Vorgang wird von einem Piepton begleitet, weswegen man sehr schnell erkennt, ob die Messung geklappt hat oder nicht. Die Bedienung ist simpel und das Display gut lesbar. Die Spielerei mit lauterem Ton bei höherer Temperatur ist nett, aber am Ende liest man ja eh immer vom Display ab insofern braucht man das eigentlich nicht. Sehr gut finde ich, dass auch unsere Aufsätze vom alten Braunthermometer passen und wir hier nichts wegschmeißen mussten. Der Preis geht meines Erachtens nach auch voll in Ordnung. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
