I bought this to use with my solar telescope, plus camera, and other heads just couldn't take the weight and slipped. This is ideal, as it takes up to 33kg (which is more than my kit weighs) and so is solid and unmoving when I am adjusting parts on the scope or adding in my camera. It can be a tiny bit fiddly getting it pointing in the right direction, but once in place it doesn't move. Perfect for the job!

Nicely made, quality feel to this ball head. The spirit levels could be larger (it's not easy to see the bubbles in anything but bright lighting conditions - see photos). The unit operates very smoothly and overall I'm happy with it. HOWEVER - I also bought a Pig-Iron L-Bracket (photo) so that I could mount my camera to this in either landscape or portrait mode, without losing my levelling settings on the ball mount, but as delivered, the clamp on the ball head wouldn't grip the Pig-Iron bracket, because the clamp has recessed springs on either side of the clamping thread and these springs, even when fully compressed, prevented the clamp from fully closing onto the L-Bracket. The solution was to tug out the springs (I used a sharp hook to pull the spring sideways then gripped and tugged the pring using pliers. Now it closes firmly onto the L-bracket, as shown in the photo. Only time will tell how durable and reliable this ball mount is. So far, I'm liking it, but I think with a bit more thought the design could have been made more usable, without affecting the price. I'm taking off a star for having to butcher the springs and another star for the hard-to-see spirit levels.

bought this for my Gorrila Pod, fraction of the price of the JOBY branded product. Well built with smooth movement. Buying another to replace the munt on my travel tripod.

Very pleased with this quick release tripod head. Sturdy, well made and functions well and as advertised. No complaints. Good value for money

Very good cheap ball head. Nicely made and smooth operation. Just as good if not better than my Manfrotto ball head.

I bought this to replace my original ball head which had lost a turn screw. It has turned out to be an excellent product. In use there is no slippage/ creep even when used with the Nikon D7200 and Sigma 150-600mm C lens. The unit came quickly and was as advertised. Two plates were supplied with the unit and my existing plates fit perfectly. The action is smooth and fluid whether mounted on the tripod or monopod. I have no hesitation in recommending this ball head. Very good value for money.

Unfortunately I haven't yet managed to source a way of fixing the slider to my spotting scope. It is good otherwise and I'm sure I will overcome this but anyone buying it needs to check that the gauge on their device is compatible with one of the 2 sliders which come with the Mount

Failed after 12 months. I bought this to use on my carbon fibre travel tripod but it has now locked up after about 12 months. I'm going to have to buy an alternative now

When I lost my adapters for my pro tripod this was a perfect solution. The ball is big enough and the water level aids are perfectly easy to read and set up.... A really good price and quality, maybe a leaflet with specs would be helpful ....

Avevo bisogno di una testa leggera ma con buona portata e stabilità per poterla utilizzare su un astroinseguitore. 🌌 Incoraggiato dalle recensioni, e dal prezzo irrisorio di questa Artcise ho deciso di prenderla, ed effettivamente è stata una piacevole sorpresa! 🟢 Sull’astroinseguitore si è comportata benissimo, preso dall’entusiasmo l’ho provata al posto di una Manfrotto 410 (1,2 kg) per avere meno peso da trasportare in un trekking e si è comportata benissimo anche con 70-200 f2,8.
