Great HDD with some fast transfer speeds. However expect whilst using it on the series X to still transfer between HDD and console. I thought it would work along side the internal but I was wrong. Still Great design and looks nice

I like this product, not particularly picky as it was new with valid subscriptions. My favourite thing about it is the colour scheme to match the console models in black or white. This storage solution can be formatted for games and media on any Xbox One console with no special requirements. It comes in various sizes also on a budget and value for money, will be dependent on other Western Digital Game Drives in your basket to compare, as I discovered this one at a later stage on a different product page! There are complaints about it not being future proof enough for the next consoles in terms of transfer speeds below 5GB/s with USB 3.0. It also uses a proprietary version of the micro USB standard that has a wider connection but is not as common in place of the Type C connection. I chose to buy nevertheless for my collection of games and transferred all my content, as default. It does bother me that for compatibility with newer consoles with the exception of Windows Core OS features it may prove a challenge to appreciate. As the point of backwards compatibility in Xbox One, series X may require a format to continue to function, with older support algorithmic partitions. Hopefully that is not the case with software as a limit in 2020. I found no major problems with build quality although used to Aluminium it is tough and rests with rubber feet on the white plastic base material.

I was after a bigger HD as the one I have was to small. Came across this one, thought I would try it. And I am amazed on how easy it was to format and start using. Really really impressed.

Ein sehr gut und stabil gebautes Gerät, was sofort von XBox Series X erkannt wird. In den Sotrage-Einstellenungen dann einfach umstellen, wo die Games und Apps gespeichert werden sollen. Eine eindeutige Kaufempfehlung!

Highly recommended, especially for those still playing their previous gen game catalogue on their consoles. Using this with my PS5 (preferred the dual tone white-black color that matches my console, over the all-black PlayStation version of this drive) without any issues. I use it to store & play PS4 games, leaving all the SSD storage for new-gen & native PS5 titles. The HDD came with an XBOX GAME PASS ULTIMATE code card (2 nos. - 1 month validity each), and they still work despite the box stating that you need to use it by Nov-2021. Just note that the codes won't work back-to-back as they're for new users. So you use one, let it expire and then use the next one.

Siempre que adquiero un disco duro, sea interno o portátil, mecánico o de estado sólido, o incluso un pendrive, soy bastante escéptico sobre las características que exhibe el fabricante. Casi siempre están muy por encima de los resultados que obtenemos cuando lo probamos en casa. Pero esta vez debo decir que están muy cerquita de lo que asegura el fabricante (hasta 130 MB/s, según viene serigrafiado en la misma caja). De aspecto robusto, aunque únicamente la tapa superior es metálica y el resto plástico, no he notado nada de ruido como algunos usuarios aseguran. Tampoco he apreciado vibración alguna. Y eso que he realizado las pruebas con el HDD a 20 escasos cm de la oreja. Tras unos 10 minutos de uso copiando hacia y desde el disco no se nota un incremento de temperatura mas allá de un levísimo templado, que se nota mas en la parte plástica de abajo que en el metal. El led de actividad, como ocurre en el 99% de los casos, está del lado de la conexión USB. No entiendo este afán de los fabricantes de hacernos tragar el cable de datos al frente en vez de poder poner el disco con el cable detrás y seguir viendo el led. No tiene sentido pero, como digo, vienen prácticamente todos así. En resumen, un buen dispositivo, algo mas caro que otros de la misma capacidad pero, sin duda, más rápido. Igualmente hay que añadir que esta versión incluye dos meses de Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (valorado en 26€), con lo que la compra sale a cuenta siempre que se vaya a utilizar este servicio. Las pruebas han sido realizadas bajo Windows 10 Enterprise v.1941.572, en un puerto USB 3.0 (tal vez en un v3.2 exista leve mejora). La primera es con la Memoria de Caché de Escritura habilitada y las otras dos en modo Extracción rápida (si, los resultados son extraños, que obtenga mejor puntuación con este modo que con la caché habilitada...)

I got a 5tb drive. It works great with the xbox series x. It is easy to install and it is plenty of storage. I use it to play xbox one and 360 games from it, and to storage my Series X games. I strongly recommend!

Awesome hard drive. Holds all my Xbox games and I can transfer them at will. I wish the extended memorie cards and hard drives were cheaper but as technology advances they will be. The breakthroughs AI will help advance this. Only drawback can't play games from The hard drive but it holds all games and it's totally stable with no issues.
