Craftsmanship is excellent. It takes my 1911 double stack 45 acp 5" barrel with room to spare. I may have to add something around the trigger guard area to make the fit a little more snug as it tends to flop forward. I like the comfort of the holster, but it does leave it more noticeable over the waste band one I have.Took a bit to set it up for a near perfect fit

So I'll admit that I'm a little late in writing this review - I ordered this holster back in January of 2021 and never actually got around to getting my feedback written. It's a comfortable, functional holster. It holds my firearm and two magazines securely; I never have to worry about them falling out or printing, which is saying a lot considering how large the Mark 23 is.Long story short, the holster is good quality and well worth the price. What finally prompted me to write the review, however, is the customer service I received from MASC. A little while ago, one of the plastic buckles snapped and my holster was no longer useable. I reached out to MASC and let them know what my problem was; they responded quickly, gathered the necessary information and had a set of replacement parts shipped out which I received in less than three days. I was impressed by the speed and efficiency that MASC displayed in resolving my issue - they even modified the parts so that I could replace them with a Phillip's head screwdriver instead of a riveting tool. Frankly, I was already pleased with the quality of the product but the service they provided after the fact has secured a life-long customer. If I ever plan on picking up another holster for a different firearm (and I probably will,) MASC will be my first choice.4/5 for quality only because the part broke but 10/5 for customer service.

Finally a shoulder rig that fits my mark 23.

I have searched for quite a while for a shoulder rig for my SoCom HK Mark 23. Despite larger price point, I gave the MASC holster a try. I will tell you that the holster fits the handgun, magazines and me like a “fine, hand-made leather shoe”. The leather is beautiful and odorless. It is soft and supple and just plains “feels like quality leather”. There is absolutely no bulk and as such, the rig hugs the body. The holster IS MADE to fit the Mark 23 to perfection. The retainer snap is snug but can be released by thumb or “draw” for a smooth clean pull. Time will tell with regard to durability but at this point I am completely satisfied and would recommend to anyone who wishes to have a Mark 23 shoulder holster.
