This is a very good product which performs as good if not better than the more expensive WD-40. I believe the product predates WD-40. It has made my life easier in the garage.

I have had this before, and it worked great. It was a good Value. I still have the first can I purchased, good Quality it still works.

I had frozen outside hose adaptor that hadn't been touched in decades but I needed to replace it as the housing had a hole and was starting to leak. I tried for awhile to use one plumber's wrench to brace the threaded side so I could use my huge adjustable wrench to take off the housing adaptor. Needed two people and after alot of effort nothing budged. So I thought I'd try this as the only other option was a plumber and sprayed it on it two times (separated by a day each time). The next day I tried it again and to my surprise it started to move!! Took it off completely and saved at least $150. This was a tough test and it worked. Not sure it will work for others as your situation might be worse but I'm glad I tried. it.

This stuff works amazingly well. Smells bad. The nozzle quit after a few uses. Other than that, a fine product.

Best penatrating oil I've ever used

I used other chemicals and methods to free up a few adjustable wrenches that were completely ceased up, nothing worked. After spraying on Rust Eater and letting the wrenches sit a few minutes they were still ceased up and I was about to toss them out and take the loss. But then I tried banging them against an anvil and rust particles started flying out and the screw started moving but not much. So I sprayed on more, hit it again and got more movement. Then I decided to spray on some WD-40 and let them set while I took lunch. Later I banged on them again and sprayed on more rust remover and there was a lot of brown fluid and particles coming out of the moving parts, then like magic they all worked with ease. After using a wire brush to get some of the built up rust, they went back onto the tool wall ready to use. It took a little effort but it was better than buying new wrenches.

In northern New England, everything rusts, and that's just how it is. It's the same story in the Midwest. It's as if parts weld themselves together with rust. Opinions and personal experience with penetrating oil is subjective and you'll get all sorts of opinions and preferences. Free All is my go-to rust penetrating oil that in my experience will break almost anything free, although a propane or MAP torch is often needed as well. About the only thing it won't touch is a bearing hub assembly rust welded to a knuckle, but really no chemical concoction will. I read a review that said this is just as good as WD-40 "if not better." I laughed. I use WD-40 to coat my tools so they won't rust, and that's about it, and for that use case I'll typically get the generic brand. In my experience, WD-40 (not the store brand) does next to nothing on real rust. It's a brand that everyone knows and I think there's a lot of brand loyalty due to it being a sort of tradition. PB Blaster, in my experience, is a much superior product to WD-40 for solid rust, and that's what I used until about three years ago. Interestingly, Project Farm's empirical results contradict my claim there, in that WD-40 performed slightly better. In his tests, just about any oil performed about the same. Unfortunately, he didn't test Free All. This is my experience: Once I started using Free All, I didn't need to use a torch nearly as often and it's all I use now. That's really all I can say about it. It works most of the time provided that you're using proper technique. (Take your time, do it by hand, and alternate between loosening and tightening)
