After a long research on a Ductless Range Hood for my newly remodeled kitchen, PS16 is definitely one of the best in its class and value. It’s easy to install, quiet and a trendy design. I would definitely recommend it.

One of the mesh filter was defectiveThe company’s Customer service via Amazon chat was fast, responded in one day and have replacements shipped the next two day.Received the replacement within a week.The hood itself is simple which is what i look. The fan sounds strong but i haven’t used it long enough to know how good it is.

The 22" depth Range Hood market is limited. This SS model is built sturdy enough, with an extra strong exhaust fan. Despite no electronics, no wifi, or remote, this model carried a hefty price tag.Unfortunately the damper itself is terrible, poorly designed, and poorly implemented. Rather than pivot on a pin, the damper rides roughly in a bushing, thus only partially opening, even at the highest fan setting. Both stops are poorly positioned preventing fully closed and fully open. There is a large gap around the damper reducing performance.I have to recommend throwing away the damper, but keep the excellent frame, and rely on the External damper to provide back-pressure protection from the weather.Also, the unit has 2 grease filters but only 1 exhaust fan. With no baffles, only half of each grease filter will ever get any use - kinda false advertising. Also, the fan wiring itself partially obstructs the airflow..Time will tell if the 22" reach compensates for these design flaws.Removing the integral power cable was another unnecessary installation impediment.Nonstandard mounting hole setbacks required additional undercabinet cleats.The hood actually measures 29-3/4", leaving unsightly gaps when installed.The mounting holes are 1-1/8" from the cabinet front in the seated position, thus only 3/8" to the mounting edge. Is that enough material when kids are playing around? I added 1/2" and a better flat washer.The economical hood being replaced had 2 light levels, where this unit only has 1.Hopefully, the mechanical switch will outlast today's all electronic offerings.Though well-constructed and attractive, only buy this Model with your eyes wide open to all the problems.

Overall the hood is good looking and the LED lighting is great the issue is the fan noise, it is simply too loud even on the lowest speed. If I had heard the fan run first I doubt I would have purchased it.

This range hood looks good and lights up the top of our oven very well with even lighting. It seems to draw air much better than the unit we removed. A word of caution however - the hole location for the power cord is not even close to what is shown in the installation instructions. I just measured the unit itself to make sure it was correct. Please correct the installation instructions!
