Moving beyond some of the light-hearted comments about these, proper toenail maintenance is actually serious business. I had ingrown nails when very young resulting the removal of the big toenail. It grew back, and another one grew back over it, which left me with one double-thickness nail. I can’t believe it took me this long to finally research and buy a specialized clipper tool. The way I chose was I went to a podiatrist and looked at what they use and these are the most similar ones I could find, they may even be the same brand. I could have saved a few bucks because these are at the high end but not really that much more. Generally I’m glad I chose these. First off, you get a feeling of confidence that you get a very detailed and helpful instruction manual written in clean English with excellent illustrations. I didn’t expect that and I was impressed. You also get two different tip protectors to help prevent damage to the sharp working end of the tool. And there’s also a nice zippered travel bag so you can take them with you. Kohm has a surprisingly good web site to learn more details. These are described there as being made of “premium quality brushed stainless steel”. With so many things, especially kitchen appliances, using the words stainless steel so loosely and freely these days the term has lost some of its magic as something meaning high quality. These clippers are certainly heavy and feel solid, but unlike top quality tools they don’t feel like they are forged, but rather die-cast, which wouldn’t be as strong in some ways. That being said, while I’m not questioning the comments (some with photos) saying that the clippers “broke” I believe if they are used according to instructions that would be highly unlikely, specifically that you should only use the top 4-5 millimeters of the tip, in which case the entire end breaking off doesn’t seem possible. I can only say that I used them on my unusually thick double nail and they cut through like butter. Speaking of the instruction guide, note that the working end of this clipper is shaped differently from other similar clippers, I would say the curve is backwards. There’s a purpose for that, which is another good reason to read the instruction manual. I’m pleased with these and I like them.

I have purchased many different Toenail Clippers over the years. Many of them have been by a well known cosmetic company and most of those have been very good. I was skeptical when I saw KlipPro as I have had never heard of them before. Knowing Amazon's policy on returns I decided to try them based on the description and size. I received them in a couple days and was I surprised. They were better than I had expected. 3/4 inch longer than the ones I have purchased in the past. With the wider grip on the handles it took very little pressure to clip the thickest nails. The spring action to open the jaws works great and the cutting edge is superb. The only thing I would have hoped for would have been it they had a nice case to keep them in. They do have a cover to help protect the tips but I could see that eventually getting lost over the years that I expect these Clippers to last. Not that looks matter in Toenail Clippers, but not only are these clippers listed as Professional they look like an instrument you would find in a Podiatrist office or Nail Salon. If I had any complaint it would be that after my wife watched me use them she wants me to order her and her mother a pair of their own.

Though shy of medical grade, these are solid, Well finished at the business end having polished sharp cutting edges. Overall a bit smaller than I wanted for handles (personal choice). Not toys, very usable with a flip out "spring" to automatically open. Satin finish with grooved handle area for decent grip, again, I have large hands and prefer larger handles. Very nice and recommended.

I bought this specifically to cut my large toenails. My nails are wide and go down in the corners so I have to be very careful how I cut them. If done incorrectly, I get little points that lead to problems (and ever since a trip to the podiatrist years ago for one that I did not cut correctly, I vowed to be extremely careful so not to have to do that again!) , so regular clippers are out of the question. I did have a cutter I have been using for some time and it has stopped cutting as it has dulled and the last time I used them I had a nail shard ricochet around the bathroom and land in the tub behind me... definitely time to look for something else. Needless to say I bought it right after I used my old cutter and this one looks much more menacing as it has a curved cutter blade and is about 20% larger than my other one. The other night my one nail was just being annoying as I make sure I let them grow out far enough and it was time to cut them... a bit hesitant at first with a new cutter... but after the first cut, it was such a relief as they worked very well. I was able to get down in the corners easily and all went well. So compared to my older cutters, these are definitely better. I do clean them and keep them in the protective head cover (as I do my other cutters ever since I bent one while traveling!). I definitely recommend them.

My toenails have been described by many as "The most hideous growing thing in the natural world" and "dream haunting" to name a few. I've lost my big toenail on my right foot so many times that it now grows slightly sideways, which is not only painful but now resembles a large, thick, green/yellow shaved almond protruding from a mummified cocktail weenie. After destroying all my wife's nail clippers trying to cut through the nasty, rock hard nail-of-satan, I began grinding away at it with a Dremel rotary tool. The friction cause a blister which then became infected and required a doctor visit. After the doctor finished vomiting into a nearby sink from the unpleasant sight an smell of zombie toe, he recommended these KlipPro clippers. Seeing as my only other option was to kill my toe with fire, I ordered the clippers with little hope that they would do more than bend and shatter under the immense pressure of cutting through petrified claw. Well, they work wonders! They are very sturdy and super sharp and my toenails actually look pretty good all trimmed up! I no longer cry myself to sleep at night while trying to muster the courage to chop my toe off with a camping ax.

Hey so I'm a 50 y/o guy whose toe nails have gotten thicker and I needed a pretty straight edge clipper to prevent me from cutting to low on the corners and getting ingrown nails. These work great. The plus is i bought a pair for work, I'm a vet tech. These are excellent for cats nails that grow all the way around or the "hugger" type nails found on pugs, frenchies and doxies. Yes you have to be careful of the pointed edge but they work great! Recommend.

I have purchased 2 pairs of toe nail clippers in the past year and although I spent quite a bit of money on them, they turned out to be expensive flimsy, useless garbage. I purchased these clippers in the hopes that they would even somewhat live up to their reputation. I was pleasantly surprized to find that they far exceeded my hopes. These are by far the best nail clippers I've owned in the past 15 years. They are sharp, powering through even the toughest of nails, precisely clipping big and small nails, are easy to use and fit well in my hand. Wish I'd have gotten these long ago and pocketed the money I wound up spending on prior inferior nail clippers. I will order these again as a gift because I am a practical gift giver and these will make a welcome difference with many family members both young and old.

Non pensavo, ma taglia davvero bene e abbastanza preciso, magari se avesse avuto una impugnatura di gomma sarebbe stato ancora meglio , cmq davvero buono . ATTENZIONE come scritto da altri, per le persone anziane che hanno le unghie MOLTO SPESSE e alte, prima e' basilare mettere i piedi a bagno per 5 o piu minuti , poi e solo dopo tagliare . Fate MOLTA attenzione perche taglia davvero bene e lame molto affilate, quindi state molto cauti e attenti . l'acciaio sembra alla vista buono, quindi super consigliato , per me il TOP .

Tengo uno que funciona verdaderamente mal, es pequeño y difícil de manejar, además corta muy duro y no se controla bien. De fabricación alemana y nada bueno. Estaba a punto de comprar el (supuestamente) mejor y mas caro cortaúñas para el pie, que vale justo el triple (en Amazon, en tienda física aun mas caro), cuando me decidí por probar este. Y la prueba ha merecido la pena. Se maneja mucho mejor, mayor tamaño, corta muchísimo mas suavemente. Lo recomiendo sin reservas, una gran relación calidad-precio.
