It is much higher quality than the aluminum wire being stranded copper, and not much more expensive. I used this 4 conductor wire to connect my surround speakers. I liked that I only had to run 2 of these (surround and rear) to the back of my room instead of 4 normal 2 conductor wires. I used some Techflex Flexo 1/2 braided cable covers to group the two and make them look nicer.
