I prefer my previous itaki cooker compare to this one. This lid doesn't seem to fit well on the bottom part . itaki brand is better.

I loved this thing when I first started using it! It really did the job, steams anything. I was able to box up uncooked rice, vegetables, and frozen pre-cooked chicken and have a fresh healthy lunch at work in about 45 minutes. Great! I had a few complaints about the construction of the thing (the base is kind of annoying to clean cause you have to be careful with not getting water over the sides or bottom), and where the cord plugs in could be better protected from water than can drip down the sides sometimes from steam escaping the seam where it opens, but these were things I was happy to deal with considering the price and functionality of the steamer.However, after using this steamer near daily for work lunches, it seems to be going out. It takes much longer to get the water heating up (used to start boiling in maybe 5 minutes, now takes 20 minutes and never seem to get fully boiling like it used to), and it takes much longer to cook anything. Seems the heating elements or something must be going out after only a couple months or so of use. Went from a 4 star product, to a 1 or 2 star product.Maybe I got a bit of a dud and they don't usually go out so quickly, but I don't think I would buy this brand again after mine going out so fast.

Not sure what thickness is for but the item doesnt feel premium so I dropped it a bit for that. Other than the feel of the item it works great. Since Covid I dont like to go to common rooms to heat up food and this is a great replacement. I can warm soup at my desk and eat without contact with others. It's got a nice size bowl for soup or sauces and a separate tray for rice or a meat product. Works well and has an auto shut off and on when it heats up enough. The bowls are easy to clean and I love the plastic top to help store food and contain everything. Good product and worth a buy if you eat soups or one pot meals often for lunch.P.S. one con that I almost forgot is the cord is not long at all. Was so short I had to use another longer cord. It uses a standard computer plug so I had a few laying around but be prepared to have a very short cord if you dont replace it.

I love it and yet, it's cheap. The plastic is cheap and thin and absorbs odors so I found that I should steam it clean with lemon to get rid of the smell. And the plug, the plug into the cooker is three-pronged, has a ground wire, but the wall plug does not have a ground plug. I didn't look carefully enough at the product photos but you can see it in the photos! It will shock you if you are not careful and possibly trip a circuit breaker. Make sure the unit is off before plugging it in or switch to a different power cord. I switched out the plug with the power cord from an old computer monitor. Otherwise, it is really nice to be able to cook lunch at work.

This is such a cute little lunchbox. I purchased it for my husband so he does not have to use a microwave at work to heat up his food. Very nice to grab and go when you can not when you do not want to waste money buying lunch at work or else where. Also good for people who are ill to be able to heat up food in their bedroom if they can not get out of bed to much. I purchased a different one here on Amazon for myself because I have end stage kidney diease and need a kidney and sometimes after a treatment I feel weak so this is perfect for me when I can not stand too long. It is small but very nice. Nice for teens to use in college or at home as well. Makes food as well as heats too. I highly recommend it.

I purchased this little appliance for myself and I love it! I've used it to cook rice, make steamed eggs, cook ramen, and warm up soup. The results have been great so far.Gauging the amount of water and cooking times definitely that requires practice. Mine came with a little guide that works great, I just wish the included measuring cup was a bit bigger.I've noticed that if the water I use is not room temp, it takes a bit longer for the base to boil the water before it can cook or warm a meal.One great feature is that it doesn't allow for most scents to escape the vents in the lid. I can only smell the food once the cover is lifted - which is awesome, considering my sense of smell (I wish it wasn't that great sometimes).I will be purchasing one as a graduation gift.

Not exactly what I expectedOutside is a bit flimsy so the lid doesn’t just slip in to place to seal… Hopefully it will work for my husband who is on the road a lot… we will see
