Medical Coding (Quick Study Academic)

I love this insert gives me all the tips I needed for ICD 9, CPT, HCPCS, all the core coding procedures, and practices even has some HIPPA included... I love that they are laminated, and have helped me in and out of the classroom... I've purchased 13 of these medical related inserts: Medical Terminology:The Basics Medical Terminology: The Body Anatomy Terminology Medical Abbreviations & Acronyms Muscular System Joints & Ligaments Medical Coding: ICD -9 & ICD -10 CM Skeletal System Medical Coding Muscular Origins & Insertions Spanish Medical Conversation Evaluation & Management (E/M) Coding Calculator Digestive System I had basically grown up, and had decided to move into the medical customer service/administrative assistant side, so I needed help without having to tug heavy textbooks around... I purchased these in 2013, it is now 2016 and they still look brand new like if I had purchased them just yesterday... I highly recommend to anyone just starting out in this field, and would like a cheat sheet if you will to have handy without having to search all over the internet, your phone, textbooks, and etc... Although I do recommend that you search to make sure if any newly updated inserts have come out...

Medical Coding Quick Study Academic I just finished a 9-month course in Medical Billing and Coding. Heard about these and ordered 5 i think. They were for medical coding in different areas, medical terminology, medical abbreviations and things like that. I used them ALL the time, and I was shocked that they actually helped me when I was studying for the CPC exam (which I passed on the first try! WEEE!!!) When I first got them and found out how valuable they would be for this course, I showed them to some of my classmates (I had them with me in school everyday) and they got them and 2 passed the course with flying colors and passed the certification exam. The other one passed the course, but barely missed the exam. If you are looking for any of the quick study guides, they are laminated and totally AWESOME!!!!

Lots of helpful info. I can read a page before watching TV or going to bed. Nicely portable educational material. I am new to coding, but I believe this will help familiarize me with some of the terms and concepts of the coding world. Good purchase.

I am currently a student taking Medical coding and billing and found this helpful because the book I have won't give answers to questions. So this helps me know that I am actually correct in my study skills. This is not something you could take to sit for the certification. Because it is not allowed during the examination. However, it really help's as a study reference. I imagine after someone has been coding for a while they may use it just as reference for a refresher or someone working after taking a vocational course and working a while until they are ready to take the certification exam.

I am currently talking a medical billing and coding class and it is wonderful to have something this reliable and handy to refer to. I have used the Quick Reference Guides in the past and loved them, so when I went back to school I knew that they would be helpful again. Would recommend them to anyone, either studying for a class or just want a reference to refer to for their job.

it upset me that it has ICD-9, I expected it to have ICD-10 reference materials but it's ok. Everything else is very useful and helpful

I am new to medical coding. I found this to be helpful as I was starting to figure things out. The abbreviations were a nice part of it. The field has so many that I initially had trouble remembering what some stood for. I could quickly reference this for help. I definitely got my money's worth from this.
