SMOOTH AS GLASS AND STRONGER THAN THE ORIGINAL CASTERS..
For years I have used a heavy duty Mayline chair in my home office. It is a large brut of an office chair that has a weight capacity of up to 450 pounds. I have a heavy duty chair pad over a carpet floor, but the original 2" casters that came installed on the chair always seemed to resist moving on the chair pad and were virtually impossible to roll if the casters wandered off the pad onto the carpet. Eventually the original casters just wore out, popped the wheels, or broke. Finally, three of the original five casters failed completely to where Gorilla Tape would no longer help them survive any longer. As I did not want to replace the large, expensive chair that still worked fine, I searched high and low, read a lot of reviews, and saw the high ratings these casters were receiving from many sources.. I measured the old caster stems and matched the size to these. Thought I'd try these 3" casters in hopes they would roll easier than the old 2" casters. I cannot tell you how happy I am that I did. These new casters roll as smooth as glass on the chair pad and also roll quite effortlessly on the carpet. I can now scooch all around in my office without worrying about staying on the chair pad; though the chair pad does help protect the carpet and makes moving around somewhat easier. These casters just snapped right into the holes for the original casters. The fit is very snug and sturdy. I have no concerns that these casters may just fall out if the chair is lifted and the wheels come off the floor. These casters are truly "Heavy Duty" in all respects. Additionally, the way they are built, it is almost impossible for dirt and debris to get up in between the caster wheels and get stuck, thus possibly causing premature wear in the wheels, axle, bearings, etc. The manufacturing tolerances are quite good and the wheels roll effortlessly on smooth surfaces. While this caster set was not offered as a "Prime" item, they were listed as FREE SHIPPING, and sold by Service Caster Corp.. Once ordered, I received an estimated arrival time of approximately two weeks later. I believe this estimated timeframe was set by Amazon. I cringed thinking that I would have to wait for two looong weeks to get my chair operational again.. To my happy amazement, these casters were delivered in TWO DAYS from the order date.. They were ordered and shipped on the 10th of the month and deliver to me on the 12th of the month via USPS.. That, in my opinion, demonstrates OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE by SERVICE CASTER CORPORATION.. This is the first time I've ever ordered anything from Service Caster Corp, but I will definitely seek them out again if a need for their products arises..Needless to say, I wholeheartedly recommend these casters and Service Caster Corp. Quite frankly I couldn't be happier because I now have my old, reliable, and comfortable office chair back and functioning better than when it was new..

Perfect Replacement for OEM Casters
I needed to replace carpet casters with these hard surface casters on my Aeron Chair. After looking at reviews for the most popular skate type wheels I found too many people complained of tipping over and major damage of their expensive office chairs for my liking. I kept searching and actually found these using google on the Service Caster website but purchased them on Amazon for the convenience and support. I went with the larger Softech Dual 3 inch wheels for more surface area and to raise the chair a little higher off the ground to give more clearance to the center rise bar as it was only 1/4 inch off the floor. The Service Caster website is worth looking at as they had a very helpful how to replace video. It is a simple procedure, IF and only IF, you have no troubles removing the original casters. I had BIG problems removing 4 out of the five casters and the video went over every problem I encountered and what tools were helpful which saved me some grief and time. These casters are the best quality and well worth the money. I highly recommend them and would purchase again.

Chair rolls so much easier!
Before I begin, I must say that I do not, as a rule give out 5 stars unless the item simply cannot be improved...That said, I bought these because I needed to raise my chair about .5" higher than what it was as the bottom of the pneumatic piston cylinder was dragging and "shaving" my chair mat. I originally had 2" wheels.I just installed them on my chair, which took all of about 2 minutes, and they have done what I needed and raised the bottom about .5", so my cylinder is no longer hitting my chair mat.The only thing I didn't expect was that the chair rolls SO MUCH EASIER! I should've expected that given, you know, physics and all. However it is not a complaint, just something to take note of and adjust to.Time will tell how they wear...Bottom Line: For the $35.85 I spent, I feel it was just a bit pricey, but think they'd be a decent purchase for anyone looking at a similar situation, or if they want their chair to roll easier.

Service Caster Disaster
These casters refuse to swivel in the direction of travel. It doesn't matter if I'm sitting in the chair or if I get out of the chair and push it. Any direction I want the chair to go one or more casters hangs in its position and will not rotate in the direction of travel and the chair can't be moved. After the glowing reviews I purchased a set. When they were installed they far are worse than the original casters that came with the chair that also didn't swivel. These have scuffed the laminate surface off the floor under the caster and it will be too large of a job to re-do an entire room of laminate--if it's even available. This is the third set of casters on a chair purchased new this year.

You pay for a rare product, not necessarily quality
Doesn't look much luxurious. I don't like the looks. But, it rolls easily and I had to find a bigger sized caster, because my Base it very low and after replacing Cylinder it touched the floor. So I had to choose between new based (+remove the new cylinder too.. blah) or higher wheels. Of course I choose higher wheels, and 10x GOD for Amazon, as where the heck can you find such wheels on store?I doesn't fit into place smoothly. I had to use a mallet on the base to make each wheel's insertion possible. I haven't tried but, seems like it's gonna be hard\impossible to remove those wheels (hope I won't need to).Overall: yes, yes, they're gr8, but not "perfect in any aspect". For that price, they should have provided an outer silicone line, as the current plastic show dust very clearly!
