Nice sturdy percolator
Love my cowboy coffee pot. I bought it so if there was a power outage I would have a way to make coffee. Nice sturdy percolator coffee pot.

Worked out fine
wished i had done more thorough search on reviews. My review overall - LOL. very cheap made. Did a test pot on stove top per directions. I used a coffee filter and folded it overnin the basket as the stem is to short - coffee needed will cover the stem. geez....So i only made a partial, pot. Two qts water and 1/2 cup measure of coffee. anyway, took a couple minutes to start percolating. timed it for 3 mins. During perculation, about halfway thru, coffee was spurting and bubbling out the pour vent. fortunately not a whole lot boiled out, no mess and the three minutes was up. Removed from heat. Had to use an oven mitt to pour a cup, but i kinda figured that due to a metal pot. However, it was a good cup of coffee. I put remainder in a coffee thermos. I bought this for a camping trip and for that, it will do just fine. This is NOT something I would ever use on a daily basis. Get a real percolator! If not for actually enjoying a good cup of coffee, I would have just given 1-2 stars cause its so cheap made and no way to keep coffee from coming out the pour spout while percolating. Edit: after using this percolator all weekend while camping I upgraded this to 4* vs 3. The percolators shortcomings I was able to overcome with minor tweeks. Ref basket stem being to short when adding grinds - keep basket on the entire stem that sits in pot then add your grinds. I used 3 qts water to three 1/4 scoops coffee. I also used a coffee filter as I do with my regular use percolator. saves on cleaning. Ref the coffee spurting all over thru pour spout - I solved this by adjusting heat down a bit when it starts percolating so its not actually in a rolling boil in the pot but still perking. Also laid a large tablespoon over pour spot so no,or very little coffee spurts out over the camp stove. A dish towel was used for the very hot handle while pouring. I did not try this over the fire cause it was to hot. This was worth the money once I got little things fixed and will stay part of my camping gear.

Love this pot
Love this thing. I am trying to figure out the correct ratio so grounds dont get in the coffee. I will figure it out eventually. Love it

Damaged and seems to be lesser quality
I just received it. Obviously haven’t used it yet. There is a major chip on the back rim. The lid does not fit snugly, I guess that’s why there an hinge attached to the lid and the pit handle. And, the glass nob doesn’t seem to screw on and off easily.

It's not your mothers coffee pot
Let me start by saying if your expecting to get a porcelain coffee pot like you would have 25 years ago your going to be disappointed. My how times have changed. If you drop it it's going to chip. If you kick it it's going to dent. If you use it over a campfire it's going to melt the plastic percolator top. Other than that it's a darn fine coffee pot. I've started not expecting much out of anything anymore including people and I'm a lot happier for it. Edit: After using this coffee pot for several days now I've come to the conclusion it's a piece of junk. It's cheaply made the stem and the basket don't sit level in the bottom of the coffee pot so I brewed a whole pot of coffee with half the grounds not even wet. I tried to adjust it but it didn't make any difference. The raised portion of the coffee pot at the bottom where the basket stem is supposed to sit is larger than the basket stem making the basket stem slide off the side of the raised portion and sit unevenly making half the grounds not get wet. There's also no markings on the pot to tell you how much water your using. So I guess your supposed to bring along a measuring cup for this handy light weight coffee pot that's great for camp fires, (don't use on camp fires it will melt the plastic top that's supposed to be glass), and great for light weight hiking and backpacking, (because it doesn't take up much room just bring along extra measuring equipment), and I could go on but I think you get the point.

Better suited for camping!
Colorful in the kitchen. Good coffee. However, sprays coffee on stove if it gets to a rolling boil. Probably better suited for camping.

Did not think this was as solid as it looks. Handle gets very hot and centre viewing piece falls out. Not really very happy with this. It is ok size wise and all but...

I love these types of coffee makers but with this one in particular you are going to have to grind your own beans and not to fine either, otherwise at the bottom of the cup you get a nice meal of coffee grounds. You could always carry a tea strainer I suppose and it’s hardly the worst thing ever but there’s bound to be folk who have a serious issue with such an inconvenience. Coffee tastes amazing and if used indoors the whole house smells great too.

mit dem Gaskocher zusammen bekommt man einen guten Kaffee unterwegs, allerdings sollte der Kaffee nicht zu fein gemahlen sein, etwas gröber ist besser, aber funktioniert super

Poor quality. Pricetag way to high! Should had been an ornament in my trailer but no. Returned the first shipment. The second was in the same condition but I just accepted the fact and kept it.

hay que seguir las instrucciones, hace buen café, necesita filtro de papel. Llego bien embalado, perfecta, en el tiempo acordado, un color verde muy bonito (la quería en otro color pero siempre está agotado)
