Review: 3d printers friend - I have recently discovered making large prints in smaller sections and using these titanium rods as a press fit. You can also use aluminum. We are doing our own forms of testing on strength, but you might be surprised by how strong a couple of these rods can make plastic. They also work great when you want to print pieces that would print better in a different orientation, then flipped for assembly.

**Q: Are these actually tubes as one reviewer noted?  in my application i'd prefer they were!  also: are they hardened?**
A: They are solid rods, not tubes. They are very strong and hard to bend.
