I'm so fed up with the plastic shielded power cables like extension cords and power tool cables that more than half of us in the US, where winters get cold, have to deal with. The plastic shielded cables and cords are just about impossible to wrap up to throw in the truck, and power tools are nearly impossible to re-wrap the cord around the tool when you're done using the tool for the day. This power cord is top shelf and is rubber shielded not plastic so it is highly flexible. I put it on an old miter saw and had to work on a job outside with temps in the mid 20's F, and it was as flexible and easy to wrap up at the end of the day as if it was 80 degrees outside. A bonus is the rubber shielding is a matte finish, not shiny like the cheap shiny plastic shielded cords and cables, so the tool still looks professional grade. I can highly recommend this power cord.

I ordered this cord to replace the original cord on our Cuisinart toaster oven (the 1800 watt versions have problems with the original cord overheating). This new cord, being nine feet in length was a little too long for our needs, so I cut it down to six feet. The rewiring was straight forward, and it works like a charm. Even after extended periods at high heat (450 degrees), this new cord remains cool to the touch. Another nice thing about this cord is the fact that it is quite pliable, despite its' robust design and nice, thick outer, and inner insulation. Finding a cord like this (14 gauge with a two pronged polarized plug) can be difficult. So, if you have an application which requires this particular type of cord, then you cannot go wrong in purchasing this one. I highly recommend it!

Soft and flexible rubber sheath like what I'm replacing on my Dewalt miter saw. I don't expect this one to get stiff in cold weather.

Bought this as a replacement cord for an older Makita chop saw with a deteriorated cord. Since it's a double-insulated tool, I only needed a two-wire cord, and they are a little harder to find than the typical three-wire grounded cord. It's a little heavier than the original cord, but that wasn't a problem. It fit fine through the strain relief protector and the internal channels in the saw. The old cord lasted 20 years, and I have no reason to believe that this one won't last just as long.

We had an oil heater that the cord had wire showing and was shorting out. We bought this cord and my husband wired it on the oil heater. It works perfect and I feel so much safer as this cord is much better than the original.

The powercord on my 4" Craftsman Angle Grinder gave out. After all the work of diagnosing the problem, I decided to just take off the last foot until I reached the working remains. When it got down to an unacceptable length I ordered this replacement cord. A slightly heaver duty so I really had to soap the end to get it thru the strainrelief but no it is flexible in the winter!

HAD TO REPLACE THE PQWERCORD ON MY MAKITA CIRC SAW. SO I UPGRADED FROM 16GA TO 14GA IT WAS SIMPLE TO DO. THE CORD HAD SOLDERED TIPS AND IT WAS SUPER EASY TO UPGRADE. OH YES FAST SHIPPING TOP QUALITY TOO.
