Super-Brella UPF 50+ Sun and Rain Canopy Umbrella, 8 Foot Portable Beach Shelter with Side Panels, Wind Flaps, and Carry Bag, Blue

This was a great purchase for the ball field and the beach alike. It does a wonderful job blocking the sun and we can fit 2 beack chairs and even regular size chairs in the shade it provides. The little pockets on the inside are perfect for phones, keys and even snacks. The windows are a great addition to let a little breeze blow through. Set up/take down is so simple my 7 year old can do it and it all fits nicely right back in the carry case. I opted for a "used" one that came in near perfect condition, couldn't even tell it had been used apart from one tiny little rub mark on the outer layer that does not effect usage at all. For the price I put this was an absolute steal.

I got this umbrella on big sale. ($36? I have to double check. Something like that.) Had I not got it on sale I might have thought it was not worth the price. Opens nicely. We used it on a sand beach. None of the stakes or any manner of trying to hold it down kept it from blowing away. We unzipped the windows for airflow and to try to help it not blow away. It blew away 4 times and there was not a strong wind. We even packed inner pockets with shoes and stuff. If I were to try to use it on the beach again I would not even attempt it without sand bags for weights. The carry bag has no durability. We took it to the local beach the one time, transported, used it, put it back in the bag, brought it home, and the fabric ripped on the end of the carry case while I was being super gentle trying to not rip the carry case. There wasn't anything different I could have done to be gentle on the case. So no for durability on the carry case. The umbrella - it blew away four times in a gentle wind and survived fine. I think if it was assembled with stakes in lawn or dirt it would maybe hold. If I use it again it will be in the yard or pile camp site camping. Again for the sale price I would think it was worth it for this use. But I would say it cannot be used on a beach. (There was so little wind! The stakes were in sand.) The umbrella itself is nice and I think many people would enjoy it. It remained intact despite the tumbles in the wind. I recommend this product IF you get it on sale and use on SOIL or DIRT surface to hold stakes.

BUY IT! I’ve used this for a few years on vacation. This year we went through 2 TERRIBLE wind storms on the beach & this umbrella didn’t budge or break! Unbelievable it made it through it! Only down fall is it doesn’t have a floor of its own but can’t beat the ease of setup & durability. Side note the metal stakes with it are bad ass!

Looking back, I wish I had seen the review and recc for the Sport Brella. As the reviewer said, seems like a better version of this. Got this for the labor day beach weekend and glad I did. It was a welcome addition to our shade camp! It is super lightweight and thus easy to carry over your shoulder (though a bit cumbersome handling due to it's 55" length). Do yourself a huge favor and bring a rubber mallet or beachstake with you when setting this up at the beach. I used a mallet to pound the lower half of the pole into the wet sand which anchors it better than you trying to push it into the sand. On a no wind day the stakes aren't necessary, but any breeze over 3-5 mph and you MUST anchor this umbrella with the included stakes/tethers. The stakes are good quality metal vs. cheap plastic which seem to come with most other tents/shades. The stakes and lines can get in the way and you must be careful and warn others of their location so they don't walk into them or trip over them when the umbrella is upright. I didn't try this with the umbrella on its side like in the pictures, we used it straight up. People really complain about the friction lock lever that joins the umbrella to the base stake. I didn't have any problems with mine . My only gripe is one of the tether lines plastic clip broke. Other than that, happy with the purchase and performance of this product. BUT if I could do it over, I would opt for the SPORT BRELLA.

I purchased this item in October 2025 in anticipation of Spring Soccer season and tried using it for the first time in April 2026. My daughter and I opened the umbrella and immediately noticed was wrong. It got stuck about halfway opened and we had to work with the metal supports before it would fully open. We anchored the umbrella with one stake on each side and gust of wind bent the umbrella inside out and broke the metal supports rendering the umbrella useless. Frustrating that Sport Brella doesn’t have a customer service number. This ended up being an expensive experiment that lasted 10 minutes. The concept behind this umbrella is great but it clearly needs improvement on strength and stability.

Great so far. Purchased this item at a local store after reading tons of great reviews online. We purchased it the day before going to the beach on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. We were able to price match it to the Amazon price and got it for $40, instead of $50. The umbrella came in a carrying case with shoulder strap. For the overall size, it folds up well and isn't too tough to carry shorts distances. We arrived on the beach (Hammonasset in Connecticut). The setup was very easy. The super-brella opens just like a normal umbrella. It comes with two sets of anchors, one normal set and one heavy duty set. There are also some strings/rope to spread the anchor points. The heavy duty stakes were great. Even though the beach was not windy that day, the umbrella was very sturdy. You can open the two flaps on either side of the umbrella which will allow breeze to flow though and prevent the umbrella from blowing away. I suggest bringing a rubber mallet. After driving the heavy duty stakes down into the sand with the mallet, I was confident that the umbrella was not going to be blown away. After the easy set up, we were shaded from the high sun from 10:30AM to 2:30PM with full coverage. The umbrella opens big and offer lots of shade. It was enough to easily fit myself, finance and 5 year old laying with beach blankets. I have not tested this out on the beach on a windy day or in the dirt/grass but I will update my review when I do.

Tiene buen tamaño. Su principal característica es la prácticidad. Nosotros somos 4 y cabemos exactamente. Es decir más de 4 sería difícil y contando 4 porque uno es un menor. Pero tiene buena calidad y su sistema no se siente fràgil, parece que nos va a durar mucho si lo tratamos con cuidado .

Lo avevamo visto "in uso" sulle spiagge della costa azzurra lo scorso anno e ci siamo informati subito per poterlo acquistare. E' un ottimo ombrellone che sostituisce agevolmente anche le cosidette "tendine" tanto in voga negli ultimi anni permettendo un migliore passaggio di aria. Noi la utilizziamo molto nella posizione riportata in foto, ovvero "sdraiata" perchè è talmente grande che ci si può stare comodamente seduti sotto. L'acquisto è arrivato in una decina di giorni. Unica pecca, proprio per il prodotto che è e per il peso che ha, è la sacca custodia da portare a tracolla. Di tessuto troppo sottile che, temo, si romperà presto.

Great beach umbrella! Just received it, and it was very easy to set up. Like that it has a carrying bag to keep it in. It's also a good size for us to sit under, out of the sun. The side vents will help keep air flowing, so hopefully we don't "cook" under it. When I took it out of the box, I had to put it outside on my patio to air out because it has a funky smell - can't tell if it's "chemical" from the materials it's made of, or "musty" from wherever it had been stored in a warehouse. Hopefully the smell is gone when we use it at the beach this weekend.

Ciertamente es lo que deseaba. No pasa el viento y da una sombra fresca que hace que se pueda comer debajo de maravilla. Bien acabada y facil de montar y desmontar. Aun no le encontraria un pero

Cet article est excellent. Il est spacieux et protège très bien les peaux sensibles. Seul petit regret l'explication de montage est "légère" et en anglais mais regardez éventuellement les vidéos you tube (mieux "parlantes")
