What is the quality of this fan and does it open and close smoothly?

Hope this answer your question. I purchased these has I suffer from hot flashes, they arrived wrapped individually. I have only had to use one of the fans and have had no issues, it opens fine and shuts ok and does the job of cooling me down. Thought they were a bargain for 4.
