Heats up really quickly and has a large capacity water tank with a good size water jug to fill it. I use it as cordless to avoid tangles and it’s made ironing a breeze! If so then yes. It only heats up when plugged in and whilst plugged in needs to keep going back on the stand to reheat. It can’t heat independently **Q: How can u tell when the iron is charged for cordless use?** A: It doesn't charge, it heats up, exactly like a corded iron, but then you can detach the iron from the base, and use it for up to a minute, it will cool down, so need to be re-heated. **Q: What kind of ironing board does this work with? So the base is stable.** A: Hi, There is not a specific ironing board for the 2-in-1 Iron as most boards are suitable. The base will be stable as long as the ironing board itself is stable. Not a good iron. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best iron I have ever had (Teal) *by G***J on 3 November 2025* Excellent iron, I bought the teal one and I absolutely love it especially as it was 25% off. The teal one is also a slightly higher wattage (2800 as opposed 2400) and tiny bit heavier. It has been a game changer for me as I love the functionality of being able to use it with or without its cord. No more cords getting tangled or caught up on the ironing board it is brilliant and such a super price. I have had irons over twice the price of this one that aren't as good. It glides beautifully and effortlessly across the fabric, word of warning on it's highest setting it is hot, that is fine on heavier cottons or linen but on light cotton it is better slightly below the maximum setting. To give you an idea using it cordless it can easily iron a pillow case without putting it back n its base. The red light will come on but by the time I've folded the pillowcase it is back to temperature and ready to go. Weight wise it is heavy enough to effortlessly smooth out ironing, especially with the excellent steam function, without being wearisome on the wrist. It is easy to fill, the cord length is super long, it has an excellent wide range of temperature controls, it is the best iron I have ever had and I love it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing and affordable! *by I***E on 10 November 2025* Amazing and affordable steam iron! I’ve only used once this did leak a lot of water when heating up. Maybe it was just because it was the first use.
