**Q: Does this have a cool zone below the induction heated oil volume, to prevent solids at the bottom from burning in the oil?**
A: There is no cool zone. One of the advantages of this fryer is there are no coils to clean.  I have not had any solids burn in the oil.

**Q: I purchased this fryer but it doesn’t go over 1,680 watts? Is that normal?**
A: It’s your power I sent mine back it would cost to much to put another power jack in it needs to be plugged in to a stronger power Sauce

**Q: Is there an installation manual? Power cord specs, etc?**
A: Mine arrived with the power cord attached and an instruction manual.  I’m not sure what “power cord specs” means .  You plug it into a 220 V outlet.  I have been very pleased with this fryer. Because it’s a 220 V fryer, it has a fast heat up and fast recovery.

**Q: Do it take a standard 110 or 220 outlet?**
A: 220 volts

I replaced a 110 volt fryer with this 220 volt unit. The difference is like day and night. It gets hot and stay hot throughout cooking. It set the fryer up at a permanent location, outside under a patio cover. When it comes time to fry, all I have to do is turn it on 15 minutes before cooking and it does a great job.

Unfortunately this appliance did not work when received, we completed a return and Amazon shipped a replacement. When the replacement was received that one only worked for about an hour.
