This is my 3rd drive like this. Had such good luck with the first 2 I bought another one on prime day. Great storage and speed for the Xbox. Not used with pc but it does work great for storage of games and files on the series x. It is not as fast as the NVMe drives but you can store some games and gamesaves that are not optimized for series x / s fast resume etc.

Great product that works very well. I have been using this product for a year or so and I am happy with it. I have managed to store a lot of games onto it with no problems and everything has been up to par. I will say it is helpful and wise to turn off your external hard drive if you are going to be unplugging your ps4 or ps5. Go to Settings > Storage. Select USB Extended Storage > Safely Remove from PS5. Disconnect the USB extended storage from your PS5 console. FOR PS4: Go to Settings > Devices > USB Storage Devices Select Stop. The reason it is important to do this is because if you do not turn off the device before unplugging system and device it risks the data being lost/corrupted. Pros: Holds very many games ( Depending on game GB size anywhere from 75-150 games perhaps) Loads PS4 games seamlessly Keeps everything organized Can hold PS4 & PS5 games Priced reasonably Cons: You can't play PS5 games directly from this device PS5 games must be transferred back to console storage or internal solid state drive in order to be played

These external drives are my all-time favorite. I have been buying them for a few years now, - not necessarily for gaming, but to store a large amount of heavy graphic files and for their high-speed upload ability. And, they never failed me. So these are the only ones I use now, and when I saw that they came out with the pink version (only had the blck ones before), - I could not resist. The most adorable addition to my collection,beautiful color (just like pictured), and even larger capability. What not to love?

Almost perfect! Does everything it claims to, but i still had some hopes for more. Connection wise, works on the second time you plug it in, the application automatically launches and asks you if you want to use it for games or apps and music. Works pretty quick, although the 500mb per sec is notably slower than the series X’s 2.4 gigs per sec limit, so it doesn’t really work for most new games. but older games and apps are perfect for this drive. I bought a used one, which only had 1.8tb of storage when it was supposed to be 2tb… but i suppose being not a new one i can get over it, so marginal data loss. Summary, a rugged shelled, overcompensating hard drive that does exactly what WD says it should and absolutely nothing else. if you’re wanting to download games to this and transfer it console to console, you need a seagate 2tb or more which is like over the price of a series s by itself. But if you’re just wanting some spare space and don’t mind shuffling your games around slowly for robust storage capacity, look no further. The 6tb strikes me as a bargain and a ton of storage in one spot.

Happy with the storage capacity, 6TB is more than I've ever had so far. It was easy to connect and install and I like the software they included the check on the health of your drives (I can even use it to check my main drive as well since apparently it's the same brand!). Transfer speed is pretty decent for a regular hard-drive like this. Don't expect SSD speeds from it and you'll be happy. I use it to store large video files. I wouldn't recommend using this to load programs and games off of, that kind of task should be exclusively for an SSD preferably connected internally. Very good value for the money.

Love this drive. This will last me a long time. Quality is made for gaming. I use it as a backup drive. I did not want to buy something cheaper as they usually don't last a long time. This drive is well made and sturdy even for everyday use. Western Digital is a brand I trust, especially their WD Black line. This drive is also not too big or bulky at all. It's the perfect size to fit on your desk. Price is very good and lots of storage room. Happy with this purchase and I recommend to others looking for a great quality drive that lasts.
