This is one of the best books written on protection training. It is very well written in simple, easy to understand language and covers such subjects as which breeds are suitable for protection work, how to select a dog for protection work, the obedience exercises needed for protection work, as well as training methods for protection work. It's a must read for anyone in protection work ( novice or veteran ) or contemplating going into protection work. I HIGHLY recommend this book.

It is a good read, however my 7 month old puppy has a good instinct of rules. At nearly 100 lbs. he protects me from strangers. When introduced to people I accept he is very friendly. I use sign language and verbal commands. He response to the sign language even from a distance.

It gave me a very good idea of what to expect in training and also what skills to work even before that point

Not bad, but not worth $20-$30
The book was decent, but almost half the book was dedicated to basic obedience. Some of the writing seemed embellished or exaggerated. All of the books in this series are overpriced by 2x.
