Was a short but very informational read! Took me an hour including making my son lunch! Thought I would just go ahead and binge read being that I bought the book a year ago 😂😂😂 it’s finished now! & I’m ready for my next read!

Very informative!
This book was very informative and easy to read. I’m a beginner and I am looking forward to putting forth the knowledge I gained through reading this book. I know that I connect most with the Orisha Yemaya, however, when I’ve gone to the beach with offerings i never called on Papa Legba first. This could be the state of disillusion and confusion that I’ve been in, which this book explained. Great read with very minimal errors.

Eye Opening!!
Very informative read. I'm still in the beginning stage of my journey back to self and it seems materials and vital information needed for my evolution are being put in my hands! Everyday I do a little research or a little reading and each time I find a new point, and I just keep connecting the dots. Thank you for assisting on my journey home.

Quick Read
There are some grammatical errors and a couple of misquotes but all in all it was a great beginning to the Orishas.

Pretty cool
I like how his book pretty much summarized the ideology of each orisa and how to connect with each one. Alters prep 101 and prayer and in comparison each deity with other religious figures. Although it was a good read it is not quite what I expected I would like for the book to give a little more of cultural backgrounds perspective. But overall great read for beginners.

Easy Read
I really enjoyed this short book. It was straight forward to the point. Overall an easy read. I have been working with the Orisha for going on 3 yrs now and have had grrat success. I keep an open mind to learn more. In this book, i learned how the orisha correlate with the Chakra and Tarot cards too. Also some really neat spells to try out. Thanks

Great knowledge
This book gave beginner knowledge on the Orishas and how to interact with them correctly. The book gives you prayers, offerings, and recipes you can use as well as a wonderful understanding of the Orishas and their origins, likes and dislikes. I love that the book is short and too the point. Very well written.

Trop léger
De ce livre j'en attendais plus. Il est un peu léger. Idéale pour les personnes désirant faire des rituels aux différents Orishas!

An informative starting point, I really recommended it for newbies.
This was my first book on African Orisha's I needed to really solidify what I thought I knew, this book helped me to gain a much better understanding. I even now have an idea of who my deity is to honour, I've been looking around for a female Goddess that called to me, I had trouble relating to many from other cultures. Anyway, this book is highly recommended by me as a starting point for anyone who wants to understand better their African roots, culture and spiritualism. I would say this is just the starting point, you will need to go off and do further reading , however this book WILL give you an excellent foundation in the seven powers that been, who they are, what to offer to them, and when is the best time to call on them, even get a good feel for the Gods and Goddess if you are familiar with Tarot, as the author links them to Tarot cards and Astrology so if you understand this you can understand even better. There are some resources in the back to make spells, incense etc which is a bonus. I read this book in one sitting on the Kindle and will buy the paperback, happy to have this on my book shelf. I will check out the author's other books also. Very happy and glad I read it.

Not the worst, not the best...
It's not a terrible book but reading it felt a little like everything had been lifted from various texts and reworded slightly. Some sentences had the brevity of bullet points with a conjunction tacked on at the end to join it to another sentence but it just didn't read well or make sense. Also, sometimes the Orishas were referred to by different names halfway through a chapter without the reader being told that it was still the same being (eg. starting off with Elegua and switching to Elegba).Overall, quite disappointed because I was considering buying the book on blood magic but I reckon I'll be able to find the same information online.
