WORKS BEST FOR A THICK HEAVY DOOR. NO ISSUES FOUND.
This hinge worked really well on an thick heavy oak door. The weight of my door was pulling lighter hinges apart after only a short time. We my brother and I tried 5 standard hinges and the results not so good. Three of these hinges and it was fine. We ended up adding one more and it worked great. The heavy door swings like a champ. We did change out the screws for some that were stronger longer and a bit beefier in thickness and threading. All together this was not a bad deal so it gets my 5 star rating.

High gloss black = black prime??
The description says these are “black prime”. As such I assume “prime” was rough equivalent to a primer which would be pretty close to a flat or matte black. The images posted by the seller look like it is a matte black as well. However these are definitely the equivalent of a high gloss.

Make sure you measure your old hinge top to bottom and left to right.
I liked the coating, this hinge will be exposed to the elements and I think it will last a long time.
