Anise Yamamoto has been told that if she ever removes the rose choker given to her by her father, a terrible punishment will befall her. Unfortunately she loses that choker when a bat-like being falls from the sky and hits her. Anise is granted four cards representing four knights whom she can summon with a kiss. But now that she has these gorgeous men at her beck and call, what exactly is her quest?! High school student Anise Yamamoto is the “Rose Princess” of four handsome Rose Knights. She encountered more Rose Knights when two boys known as the Orange Rose and Lime Rose revealed themselves to be “Fake Knights” created by her father. But while searching for an Arcana Card at an amusement park, Anise comes face-to-face with another fake—and this time it’s a Rose Princess! Review: Hard to Put Down! - What a packed volume!! Not sure how much to say, but everything with the “fakes” has expanded so much! 😱 Also, we have awakenings on top of that?! Honestly, seeing how Mitsuru is in this volume has me very concerned. I mean, obviously, he’s been a very two-faced (?) character if that’s the right word, but him taking what he did from Anise left me plain out alarmed! (And that’s on top of seeing the one room AND a mysterious person!) 😱 In my previous review of volume four, I mentioned I was afraid that Mutsuki would be the “Judas,” but I feel far from that now! He really does care for Anise, and I think their relationship can only grow from here! With that, I really, really love Anise! She is such a fun and honest heroine who isn’t afraid to go to extreme lengths to protect her knights! That also includes people who have no one to protect them, because I felt her fear so much during the parade! The maid/butler scene was a lot of fun, and I hope we get more crazy scenes like it! Lastly, what an action-packed way for this volume to end! Thankful I have the next volume on hand! Review: Great story - I am so drawn into this whole story I get excited thinking of the next adventure I love the mystery, romance, danger, and laugh out loud comedy. I could see this as a anime series on tv. I would totally watch it. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #2,200,189 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #2,845 in Shojo Manga (Books) #3,762 in Teen & Young Adult Fantasy Romance #4,514 in Teen & Young Adult Manga (Books) | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 128 Reviews | ## Images ![Kiss of the Rose Princess, Vol. 5 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81-Od09RSLL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hard to Put Down! *by L***E on June 13, 2026* What a packed volume!! I could see this as a anime series on tv. I would totally watch it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good *by J***E on March 2, 2016* ~4/5 There’s so many princesses and knights at this point, real and fake, all colors of the rainbow. Anise’s father is kind of terrible, too, turning on his daughter to make fake ones. There are a lot of fakes at this point, and most of them haven’t left too much of an impression. I’m expecting them to get more focus pretty soon, though. There’s got to be some kind of climax coming. Then there’s Anise’s knights, who are all getting serious about her. Mitsuru is getting closer to her, and then something about Mutsuki is revealed. Seiran is still falling a little in the background, but I still think he’s fighting for her. Kaede is still my favorite, and I think he’s starting to realize he has to do something about his feelings. In particular, there are a couple scenes between him and Anise that I find quite adorable. This series is a fluffier shojo than her others, and I really like it. It’s what I tend to look for in a shojo series, and I’m a big fan of it. Plus, the color pages in this volume are so gorgeous. I’m always excited for the next one in this series.
