Strike King Premier Plus Buzzbait - The Double Take

Was somewhat skeptical due to the fact that it's so huge. I was sure I would only catch large bass on it very rarely. But the first fish I caught on it was a little over twice the size of the lure and had it not been for the trailing hook, it never would have been caught. On top of that, it was one of only a few fish brought in that day.I will be using this on a regular basis from now on!Pros:- Makes a huge racket on the water. Could hear it over the water sounds on the river I was fishing. (Llano River)- Can be used extremely slow. Keep the rod tip up and reel slowly and it just paddles across the surface. In fact, I suspect this will work better when fish are sluggish since it can moved so slowly. I've not seen a buzz bait move this slow yet and I've use a lot them!- Trailing hook made all the difference on catching fish.Cons:- Large unconventional lure so you'll need space for it in your tackle box. Not really a con, but something to consider. Had to modify one of my trays to make room for it.- Longest skirt tails do get tangled in the blades occasionally. This happens on other lures too but more often with this. Tends to happen more when using long casts or fishing into the wind since the tails fly into blades during the cast. No real solution for this as you need the long tails too. Just something to pay attention to. I suppose if you got sick of it, you could trim the long skirt tails so they couldn't get caught.Overall:Can't wait to try this some more! Feel like the slow speed with good noise is going to be a major player on those days when fish don't want to move - too hot or too cold. I will likely keep this lure stocked in my tackle bag indefinitely.

Catches big bass!

The only reason I did not give this lure 5 stars is because it did not catch a bass every time I went fishing. However, it is my go-to lure any season of the year. The double spinners keeps the lure high in the water which allows a cast into grassy areas where the big ones like to lay. There are 6 of these in my tackle box, white and black and different sizes.

Used it for pike fishing..Made lots of noise along with a power bait shad hooked on. Worked well for a good day of fishing..

Good bait like all buzz baits needed a little bending to make it swim right

It's a nice gimmick with the double buzz but I found it doesn't always work properly. It's good to have in the arsenal but I prefer the traditional single blade approach

I love this double propeller buzz bait. . This bait is my secret weapon when bass fishing. If nothing else works, I can always count on this bait to catch a few bass. If they are hitting top water, this bait will rip some lips

Bought three, but one of them was missing the pre-rigged trailer hook. Not sure if it was a factory mistake or what. Who knows.I'll just add one myself.Note to seller, please check the packaging before shipment.
