Bausch & Lomb 5X Packette Magnifier Magnifying Glass 813133

Same one my dad carried for years as a Certified Crop Advisor and Agronomist. My dad passed away and I just wanted a new one to remember him when I look at it on my desk. Same good quality for a plastic hand lens. Works great for looking at bugs and plants. I use mine for electronics.

I am legally blind and use a PLUS7 reading glasses but I also need a Magnifier. TI have been using this Bosch and Lomb magnifier on a cord around my neck to enhance my vision along with my reading glasses to read normal print. It’s a magnificent little pocket magnifier that is always around my neck and easy to grab and read labels newspaper and medicine bottles.

My 80-year-old mom has significant vision issues and long ago started using the B&L 5x magnifier. It was always her go-to glass for reading the paper or Rx bottles or what have you. Over the years, everyone has bought her various magnifiers and readers but she always had this one at hand. But because she's partially blind, she couldn't find it any longer. So I bought her a half-dozen of her favorite B&L magnifiers and put one in every room and one in her handbag. It's made her life a lot easier. She reads a lot more now, too.

I have several larger Bausch and Lomb magnifying glasses made in the 1950s and 1960s. They all have great optics. I bought this to be a portable one that I could take into restaurants to read the fine print on menus. The optics are the worst I've ever seen. It will only focus if you bring it right up to your eye and then bring the object you want to look at up close to the glass (maybe 2-3 inches). Terrible!

You have to hold it in the right position to inspect coins or stamps, but it works when you do.

It was great finding these magnifiers at Amazon-perfectly replaced our 20+ yr. old ones of the same make(B&S). The old ones still work-they're just a bit battered.

Excellent Pocket Magnifier. Good value and Bausch & Lomb quality. I first purchased this many years ago. This is my third one. I keep one in my tools box and the other 2 on the first and second floors of my house.
