Nintendo Game Boy - Original (Gray)

I bought this to mod so I was not as concerned about the quality so when I bought this and tore it apart I could not believe my eyes it wasn’t in good condition it was in superb condition everything was as clean as a whistle these people obviously sales a good product especially for a 1989 Nintendo? I would assume there would be some kind of dust or missing parts something but there wasn’t I am VERY happy with this purchase if your looking for a game boy buy from them. The color of the shell was a little off and the writing on the front was faded but to be expected for a game system over 30 years old. I’m buying another one from them soon and have no problem recommending them and personally want to thank them

This was my first handheld so i purchased it again and was well worth it thanks to the seller keeping it in great condition on a very reasonable price

If something is too good to be true....Anyway, like a lot of people here, I owned a Gameboy as a kid and I have fond memories. I played with the idea of buying all of the games I used to own. When I saw an original Gameboy in great condition for just $30, I jumped on it!I've been dealing with Amazon for probably a decade as never had a problem until this purchase. First, instead of the console, I received a book. I complained and asked for a refund but, before that happened, a Gameboy actually arrived. It looked great and I was happy. I even sent the seller a thank you email. Then, I turned it on.It doesn't work. I never thought it possible. A Nintendo Gameboy console that didn't work?!? I've seen these things survive house fires. My own Gameboy worked despite having Coca Cola somehow get between the screen and the screen cover. Yet, here I am. $30 short with a broken device I paid good money for.The console itself is great. 4/5 stars. It's these shady online seller that are the problem. I even looked up the address on Google maps. It was just some guy's home.

Gentlemen, I wrote it up to five stars because I know these are good little machines (my daughter had one) and I put batteries in it and heard the sound. so that is ok. but since I don't know how to work it, I did not try a game (I still had a Mario game my daughter played with). soooo, that being said, i'm sure the recipient will LOVE it. if not, I will get back to the seller. but I don't think i'll need to do that :) thank you for asking.well, it is now Christmas Day 2016, and the Gameboy in question leaves a lot to be desired. the screen is barely visible so the recipient couldn't play on it. :( please let me know what my next step is ???

When I received this Gameboy, it looked clean, exactly what you would expect from a refurbished product. When I tried to play a game, I found that the left and right directional buttons did not work. No problem--I just opened it up to wipe down the connectors with some iso alcohol. That was when I noticed that the screen was suffering from significant pixel leak. I cleaned the connectors and membrane, and the system works fine now, but that screen is doomed. I plan on modding this Gameboy, so it's no big deal for me, but for someone looking for something to play on, buyer beware.

There is noticeable wear and tear to this item, but nothing I did not expect.

After reading some of these reviews I was scepticle. But I ordered it anyway. I did not think this Gameboy would work. Today I got it in the mail. It came in a bubble wrapped shipping envelope, and in the envelope was a small white box. Inside the box was some newspaper, and there was my Gameboy. It was very well packaged and even had a plastic peel off screen cover on the screen. It works just as if I was back in 1989. Good sound, very little scratches, and a great working screen. plays old favorites like Metroid II, SuperMario land, Pokemon Red and Blue, Tetris, and many more. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a great Gameboy at an affordable price.

The reviews are all over the place. The key is the seller. Don't just pick the cheapest one! I picked the right seller with lots of good reviews for an extra $2 and it was worth it, this Game Boy works and is even cleaner than my original. Sorry to those who got a broken Game Boy, but don't trust someone who just signed up for Amazon yesterday!
