Even though I dress like a casual slob otherwise, I found myself getting into leather shoes over the past few years: the types of leathers, soles, constructions, styles of shoes, and leather care make it a nice little rabbit hole. I have a small collection now which I enjoy wearing and try to maintain. The use of cedar shoe trees is apparently one of the most important maintenance items. The advice is to have a set of trees for each pair of shoes and keep them in the shoes whenever they are not being worn. And to avoid wearing the same shoes two days in a row or when they are wet. I have two sets of Houndsbay trees. They are not too expensive and have been all good so far. I am a size 12E Brannock and got the "X-Large / 11.5-13 US" size. This seems like a good size so that they give a little resistance in my shoes, but are not so tight that they are stretching them. I haven't noticed any problems with the construction or wood. I like that they have "left" and "right" clearly engraved on the top.

If you need shoe trees, grab a pair of these. Well-built and I expect them to last a decade - like the ones i replaced. They are easy to slide in and slide out like you'd expect them to. No need to adjust them if you've bought the right size for your shoes. I've been using them for 6 months now and I'd buy another pair of them when I need them. 5 stars after 6 months.

I have 2 pair of these and they are great for the price, however they do run a bit small. I have them in a pair of Truman's in 11.5D and its a perfect fit. Tight enough on the toe to flatten out the creases. Tight on the heel but not too tight. I also have a pair of Thursday Heritage Captains in 11.5D. These boots have a slightly wider toe box than my Truman's and while these help a little bit, they are not tight enough on the sides for that boot. Since I purchased the 11.5-13 size, you would expect them to be a pretty tight fit. I think if your sizing is E or EE or something like that, these are not going to be a good fit for your boots. Im also hesitant to believe these would fit a 13D like they say they are for, although I dont have personal experience with that size. Still, I would size up.

I ordered these for my square toed boots and they worked out perfectly. I wear a size 8 and I ordered the mediums. I went and got my boots stretched (had foot surgery) out at bootbarn so I needed these to keep thier hold! The ones at the store cost way to much and I seen these online and figured I would give them a shot! 2 for the price of 1 at the store heck ya!

Very pleased with both the product and the speed in which they were delivered. The cedar wood is aromatic and the spring loaded design is great to keep my shoes shape. I also appreciate the woods moisture absorbing properties.

A little expensive if you ask me. But exactly what I was looking for. I went back and brought two more. Make sure you get the right size.
