It clearly states it has an “Automatic Float Switch”. It does not. You can fit your own, but it absolutely did not come with one. Perhaps that was/is in the fine print somewhere, but I couldn’t and still cannot see that specified anywhere. The reality is, pretty much any and every bilge pump can be retrofitted with a float switch. I was looking for one that actually HAD one onboard, or at least included as part of the design. I could have purchased another pump for half the price and spent the remainder on a decent float switch. But nope, now I have to fork out a few extra dollars for a float switch and fit it. Not that big of a deal or a job, just annoying when you’re expecting something onboard-included. Edited: 3 months after purchase and using the pump a total of 4 times for a combined usage time of <4 hours, the pump has dropped to well below 25% output. I haven’t taken the time to measure it - I have better things to do - but given the dribble that it comes out at, I’d suggest it’s somewhere around 2lt/minute. It no longer serves its intended purpose. I have had to buy a new one, that is slightly more expensive, but has a far better review rating. As a result I have changed my rating to 1 star. Thoroughly disappointed with the purchase.
