it doesn't. Great for crochet hooks (not plastic ones, of course). Wood, metal, bamboo will be fine at the appropriate oven temp. You might apply a thin layer of liquid polymer clay to the hook handle. Shape the clay as desired. Mold it to your hand if you want to. Bake per manufacturer's instructions. Probably about an hour at the thickness you're looking for: 30 min per 1/4" thickness

After firing is this sand able and drill able? Loiking to build a small structure inside of a model kit and I need to get a small led inside.

Yes you should. The thinner the easier time you will have. It's it's thick, you'll have to be careful because it may crack.

Can food be served in this?

No, polymer clay is not food safe.

you really dont need glaze, after it bakes, its just hard plastic.
