Tuffo Unisex Baby Muddy Buddy Coverall

My petit daughter wears 18 mos clothes, but the 18 mos size Muddy Buddy is ENORMOUS. The 5T was much too large for my 4 year old as well (who wears 5T clothing). I’ve attached a photo of my son wearing the 18mo size for fun. You can see how large it is! Otherwise, seems like a great product!

So glad that we purchased this raingear. Its been perfect. Living in Alaska has its perks but foraging with a toddler was setting up to be a challenge with inadequate raingear always being the nail in the coffin. Blueberries were picked 30 minutes at a time until these arrived. Just last night we spent 2.5 hours picking in light rain. Dry and comfortable she stayed. We got the 12 month size and they fit well with plenty of extra room for warm clothes over our small 16 month old daughter. Will be buying additional sizes as she grows. Strong seams, convenient carry bag, comfortable and dry.

We got 3T, and although it’s big it’s not too big and she has plenty of room to grow in it. As she outgrows it we will definitely buy more of these. When she runs around in it, she looks like a marshmallow that has escaped. Cute and funny!What I like about this is that it indeed is 100% waterproof. Since I received it on a day it was sunny in Washington I decided to run it under the sink (if it wasn’t waterproof as it claimed I would’ve returned it) and not once did water come through. I stuck a piece of paper towels inside one of the arms so that if I didn’t feel it on my hands coming through I could at least see it on the paper towels. I’m amazed that it is indeed waterproof.Another thing I like is that it comes with extra protective padding up by the neck. That will be super convenient when it is pouring down rain here and all she wants to do is go outside and play. The zipper also appears to be of great quality. Not flimsy at all.One thing I did find surprising was the hat part. My daughter actually kept it on, and did not once try to take it off. Thumbs up for that. The fact that it comes with a bag to carry it in makes it easy to pop in the diaper bag for when we’re out and about in case it starts raining all of a sudden.All in all, this I was a great purchase and I will definitely buy again.I plan on updating my review once we’ve tested it out outside in the rain.

I purchased this in Blue in a 5T and in pink in a 3T. I needed something that would keep my kids dry for an early spring trip to the beach. I wanted to let them play in the sand but stay dry and warm since the water was still so cold. These worked perfectly! I wasn't crazy about the price so I ordered them each a size bigger than they wear. They still kept them dry but they have room to grow so they can wear them next time too! As long as they kept their shoes on, the elastic in the leg and arm cuffs kept out all the water and sand. Eventually my son took off his sandals and walked through the water so he got expectantly wet but only a couple inches up his pants. So many people stopped to ask what they were wearing and if they were sun protective suits. Once I explained that we wanted to keep them dry so they could play in the sand they all loved it and wanted to know where we got them. They pack up easy in the pouches, they dry fast because they don't absorb the water, and you can just shake off the sand. These were exactly what we needed and look so cute!

This review is a bit preemptive as we've only used the product 3x. However it works so well for us that I didn't want to wait. We took a walk in a steady rainfall today and this suit lived up to it's expectations. I cannot complain at all about the performance of this product. The elastics fit just right around wrists and outsides of boots at ankles. The hood visor protects the face when it's really raining or folds under to give child more view when you don't need it. My child has remained fully dry/clean after coming inside every time we've used this suit. Appreciate the storage bag when not in use although this would fit in a large ziplock just as well.SIZING: I ordered an 18mo size for my 13 mo old. She is tall for her age and wears 12-18 size clothing. 18 size clothing is a little too big for her yet. Size 12 clothes are too small. I am happy with the 18 mo size I ordered and I think that a 2T size would've been too baggy for her. The legs on this 18mo size are a little long yet and the sleeves do well if I cuff them just once.Bottom line: No complaints or suggestions for improvement and I would purchase again. If for some reason it doesn't wear as expected and something breaks or rips I will come back and edit this review.

The single best kid product. Whenever people ask me what they "need" for their kids I tell them this. The truth is that maybe they don't. Maybe they want to keep their kids cooped up inside and dry but I like to get my kids outside and they want to be outside. If it's sunny out but there are remaining puddles I don't want to steer them away, I want them to have fun, explore and use up all their energy without the mess of muddy clothes and the risk of them getting sick. We use these year round and I don't intend to stop buying them.My only complaint is that they don't come in my size.

Had this on my 18mth old twice and today he sat in a puddle. When I got him back to my vehicle his bum was wet!!! He may have been sitting in the puddle for 30 seconds before I got him back onto his feet. I purchased this because it advertises as waterproof and I live in a very wet area and love to go in the woods for walks. I’m very disappointed with this product

just received this, hadn't used it yet but according to other reviewers i think we will be alright as this brand seems to hold upp very well we cant wait till spring to try it..i got the 5t for my 4 yr old who wears a boys size 4 or xxs and toddler size 4t/5t sizes he is 42lbs and about 42 inches tall and this is still BIG ON HIM HAHA but i think it fits him perfect he has a few inches in it he can grow plus it looks like it will be super easy for him to put on..i got this for him for when he goes outside at daycare to play so we dont have to worry about muddy days, i just need to find a great pair of rubber boots to go with this and i think he will be a very happy boy (we got the camo color-love it)-too bad muddy buddy doesn't make rubber boots too thatd be awesome ;) --or do they already lol?? i dont know. anyone who wants to buy one im gonna say these probably range at least a sz or 2 bigger than what your child would normally wear, but any size close to your childs size i dont think you can go wrong as they will always 'grow in to it' only downside would be they might LOOK A LIL BAGGY-thats all!---buy HEY BAGGY IS BETTER THAN MUDDY AND SOAKING WET RIGHT :) !! We absolutely cannot live without these! We’re big outdoors people and take our kids out rain or shine everyday.On rainy days we’d be having a lot of laundry after puddle jumping no matter what rain coats the kids would wear. With muddy buddy’s they stay warm and dry!They certainly are waterproof even on the seams and the leg/arm holes have a nice sturdy elastic to make sure water doesn’t get in. If you pull them tightly over their boots the water will not get in!They do fit a little on the large side in the body, but i think that is needed so that you can stuff them in the suit even if they’re in warm sweaters or a snowsuit. Plus it makes them look pretty adorable :) The hood is a nice touch and comes out far enough to keep their face dry (though my kids usually pull the hood down lol).The quality is great. Ours has been passed down to our second child and it is still holding up well (probably about 3 years now and still waterproof).One thing to note is that because they’re waterproof they don’t breath well so if they’re really running around and it’s warmer out they can get a little sweaty inside, but there’s no way around that if you want something 100% waterproof.Amazon was out of stock on our size when our oldest grew out of her original muddy buddy so we changed brands and it was a big mistake. It leaked after a few times wearing it. We will stick with the muddy buddy brand! A little pricier but well worth it!

This product fits oversized to accommodate multiple layers underneath. We bought a size larger still to be able to wear into next season.I believe these coveralls are an excellent value for the price, and my toddler loves that she can go puddle jumping without getting her clothes dirty.They are very durable with reinforced waterproofing around the zippers. They have reinforced knees and seat. They are elastic around the wrists and ankles to prevent water from getting inside the suit.Excellent purchase. Would buy one for myself if they made them big enough.
