Great vitamin, will keep reordering
I'm pregnant with my 7th. There have been times in various pregnancies where my prenatal vitamins made me tired. I would ask around friends and family.. they would say it's the pregnancy making me tired. No, it was the vitamins. I would purposely skip the vitamins on days when I knew I had to get a lot done because I could afford the fatigue it caused me. I didn't know what ingredients were making me tired but I truly felt better when I didn't take anything. It wasn't my first rodeo, I knew what I was talking about. With this 7th baby I found these and THESE vitamins give me life. If I forget to take my vitamins for the day, I will have to take a long nap. If I take them, I am energized and can last all day. I got my husband the men's vitamins and got my children the liquid. My oldest son (almost 17) took some of the men's when the children's liquid ran out. We run a homestead and I should have thought about the nutritional demand... he does the work of a man, not a child. He reported when he takes the men's vitamins, he has more energy. I noticed it as well because right around the time he'd be sitting down for breaks, he is still up and at it.So this review is for the brand and the prenatal. My middle son knocked my bottle off the counter and the glass bottle broke on the bottom. For the time period that I didnt have them, I was dragging. I then took some of my husband's vitamin as a back up until my new bottle came in. Same great clean energy. I also don't have the discipline to take these 3 times a day as the bottle suggests, so I just take all 3 pills once a day in the morning. They work great.I might add that as a mom of 6, soon to be 7, running a homestead, frugality is a hard topic. We want to cut corners where we can. We have lots of things to pay for and we still tithe. My husband is also a disabled veteran. Nutrition is one of those things I really suggest you not cut corners with. We don't use any stimulants (caffeine or otherwise) and don't take pharmaceuticals. We argue less, get more done, enjoy life, and have less aches and pains when we are good to our bodies. The good book says it's a temple, so we try to not put junk in it. I like these vitamins way more than any other I've had so I will keep using them. Oh it's worth mentioning that I believe in good food as a foundation, not a cabinet full of supplements and boosters. This is the only supplement to our diet that we take.

Chose these over needed | Good value for standout vitamin
[wife review]: I took needed prenatal through my first pregnancy (the entire package; iron, omegas, etc. all separate). It was at least 12 pills a day and $100+ per month. With this second pregnancy, I was looking for something equally clean but fewer pills per day that I could stack with other vitamins that allowed for better absorption. I did still get needed powder to have mostly in my first trimester and I'm not sure if they changed formula but it was so potent (taste and smell) I couldn't even store it in the cabinet, let alone take it. From that point I swore off needed and found Next Chapter. I had been taking their Wholemegas throughout breastfeeding and largely prefer that they use wild caught salmon vs lower grade omegas like anchovy so I thought I'll give these a try. I could stomach these even when I was sick in the first trimester with no issues. The only big flag is that these don't contain choline when they absolutely should. I also take beef liver and eat a ton of eggs so I wasn't worried about ensuring I get the right levels but do be aware this is missing a critical nutrient. Between this core prenatal, two omega pills and three beef liver I'm at 8 pills a day that I break up three times a day all with a very clean, whole foods-based diet. Baby and I are very healthy and doing well. I will continue to take these postnatal too.

Best Prenatal Vitamin Hands Down!
Hi! Here's my story. In 2010 I got pregnant for the first time. I talked to a dear friend of mine who told me that she had done a ton of research and all prenatal vitamins were NOT created equal. She said that by far, she felt that these New Chapter Perfect Prenatal vitamins were the best ones out there. Now I'm going to backtrack for a second. For the year PRIOR to getting pregnant I was constantly getting sick (even though I took vitamins everyday including a good woman's daily), etc. If there was someone walking down the street two miles from me with a cold or flu virus, I would catch it. It was so bad that I had friends and family telling me that I needed to go to the doctor to find out why I would get sick so incredibly easy. But truth be told, I had always considered my immune system to not be the greatest and had always picked up illness somewhat easily...even before that year when it had gotten particularly bad. I used to joke (although it's not really funny) that if I were born in "the olden days" I would have never made it out of childhood because I would have caught SOMETHING that would have easily done me in early because of how bad my immune system was!Back to present day! I went on these vitamins for my pregnancy in 2010 and instantly felt wonderful. Unfortunately, my pregnancy didn't last -- the baby had a chromosomal abnormality and I lost it between 8-9 weeks. I had a few girlfriends, however, recommend to me that I stay on prenatals even after losing the pregnancy while we got ready to try again for another baby, which I did and I continued to feel great. But an extra benefit which I totally attribute to these vitamins is, that from the moment I went on them, I stopped getting sick all the time.6 months later I was lucky enough to get a second chance, and conceived again. This pregnancy has gone amazingly well. I am getting ready to enter my 8th month and every step of the way the doctor has mentioned how strong and healthy our baby girl is. Many times he has said things like "Wow - you really only see that in super healthy and well developing fetuses." I am 41 years old and this will be my first baby. I am CONVINCED that being on these vitamins during and prior to this 2nd pregnancy has contributed to how healthy the baby is. Not only that, but it has now been over a year and a half since I have gotten sick. Right now, my husband is ill -- coughing and hacking and sneezing all over the place and I am feeling just fine. I'm immune! And that is something that just wouldn't have been possible a couple of years ago. These prenatals do not upset your stomach. You can even smell the fruits and vegetables in them, so you know all the good stuff they say that they are made of are actually in there. Yes, they can be on the pricey side but I feel that the benefits they have provided me are WELL worth it (and the discounted price of them here on Amazon has helped). The only slightly annoying thing for me is that you need to take 3 of them a day...but if you carry some around with you and just remember to whip one out and have it with breakfast, lunch and dinner, you can get into the habit of taking them on schedule very easily. At my OBGYN appt. last week I asked the doctor if after this pregnancy I could stay on these prenatals indefinitely because I love them so much. He said that they were a great vitamin and I could absolutely do so...after menopause they might contain too much iron but until then I should feel free. I was so happy to hear him say that! I can look forward to continuing to feel good and experiencing much less illness for a long time to come! And hopefully, to having maybe one more super healthy baby (if we end up being so blessed). :)
