If you are not careful it will rotate and detach while grating. The handle you turn to grate snaps on with a small locking device and again if it is not locked on real well the handle will detach while grating. If you firmly attach the handle and are careful not to rotatewhile grating it works quickly to grate a bunch of cheese. You must attach the whole thing to the counter with the suction cup, which works real well, or one of the above will surely happen. Ground some chicken, peppers and an onion. Found that there's a little bit too big of gap between the cutting edge and the peripheral wall; led to a build on that wall. Worked ok but you had to clear that and re-feed it.
