Good strong remote controlled winch
Winch works great and the remote makes it so easy to adjust the stuff while pulling it up.

Pleasantly surprised
I'm always needing a winch around my farm to pull trucks, tractors, etc. out of the mud, drag logs, load cars onto my trailer, and so forth. The old winch I had picked up used about 20 years ago finally gave up so I was looking for a replacement that didn't cost a fortune. I was looking at the 12,000# winch at Harbor Freight but found this winch with a discount code that made it MUCH less expensive than even the HF winch so I decided to give it a try. I mounted it in a receiver hitch mount so I can swap it from vehicle to vehicle as needed plus I have a receiver tube welded on the front of my trailer so I can put the winch in it to load cars onto the trailer. Setup was pretty simple, just connect the wires to the relay box and mount the relay box to the winch frame. The first time I used it was to load a 1988 F350 Dually Diesel that had been sitting so long the front wheels were seized. That meant that not only was I having to pull the truck up onto the trailer, with the front wheels seized it was dead weight that I was having to drag. I was able to winch it onto the trailer with now problems at all! Since then I have used this winch several times and it continues to impress.I definitely feel like this winch was money well spent and have recommended it to several of my friends.

Excellent.
Got it and installed it.Light, shorter body, complete hard ware. very simple to install. I tested it to see if turn on and off and if the rope spools in and out. Haven't really used it yet, but will do soon and will update. The Rope had small fray for some reason!! It the frame had a ding two, so could've been a return or God knows from what....Either way dings are dings and I wish it was me who did that but oh well!!The Rope was my issue!! So contacted them , sent a few pix, and in about 3/4 days They sent me a knew rope, I was impressed by the customer service and I appreciate someone who stands behind their product.I will update when I put it to the test soon.

Bench test.... passed
The price was a flash deal as I had been looking at winches for my GX470. For $277 with tax and shipping, I ordered it. I have a hidden winch mount coming and even if I didn't, I would have put it in a receiver mount for that price. After reading some reviews, I opened the controller box that has the solenoids in it and snugged up all the nut connections inside. I wired everything up temporarily to my Lexus batter to test the winch. All the remotes worked, the wired and the 2 wireless remotes. You have to hold both buttons of the wireless remotes for 3-5 seconds to turn them on/off. A red LED indicates that they are on. The included hook isn't great but, I was going to swap that with a shackle anyway. At $277, it's a heck of a deal that I couldn't pass up. The spool release moves smoothly and easily, the winch is very quiet (with no load anyway). I also think that I got a bonus wireless remote. I didn't give it 5 stars because I was only able to do a bench test. But I will update this once it is mounted and tested more thoroughly.

Used product arrived
Got this as a Christmas gift from the kids for the truck. Finally got some warm weather and started to do the install. Item had lots of wear marks like it was installed before and returned. The control box even had damage to the cover, heat shrink and there is a rattle inside it.UPDATE Jul-2023: During the installation, the power post busted off from the winch. Contacted seller and they sent me a new power post which required me to tear down the motor to the windings. Got everything put back together and was able to extend and retract the rope.UPDATE Dec-2023: First real use! Had to go save a friend in a Jeep who thought they were invincible. When I get there, I put the clutch into neutral and roll out the rope. Get all rigged up and re-engage the clutch on the winch and nothing. Confirmed the clutch was in the right position (nope, can't pull out any more rope), and tried both in and out. Lots of noise but no movement. But now I have to wind the rope back in by hand before I can get out the trusty recovery strap. Winch completely failed when it was needed most.

Powerful winch
Awesome winch plenty powerful, not as noisy as the older style winches, handy remote wireless or wired combo, nice long cables, but the cables are not pure copper, they are copper cladded aluminum, so far they haven’t heated up but I haven’t stressed tested them that hard, for the price you really can’t complain, I would upgrade the power cables to pure copper if you intend to really push it, I’ll eventually end up replacing the wires at some point

Seems to be a great product
Of course time will tell if this winch will have been a good choice. I'm not exactly a fan of how the rope attaches to the spool, but I can avoid that issue by using more straps if I need length. The winch was super easy to put together and install. Everything works as it should. I actually laugh at some of the questions that were asked on this product ad. The wireless remote does not need to be programed folks. My only complaint up to this point is that the rubber piece that covers the input for the wired remote does not stay closed and frequently pops open, exposing the plug prongs to the elements. With this plug sitting on top of the winch it seems like you would want a more quality piece of something there to make sure that stays closed, especially since this winch wires directly to the battery. We don't want water to collect and pool inside of there during a carwash or rainy day.
